YAY! Tickets in hand for yet another Horton Foote play, one I've never seen staged:
The Carpetbagger's Children I'm sorry we lost him last year but 90 is a good run and I am thoroughly enjoying the uptick in productions of his works. Now, if only someone would stage a really kick ass version of
"Young Man From Atlanta" I would be very happy, indeed.
ETA: I thought this review, while not in any way reflecting my experience with the play, had a hilarious opening!
"Horton Foote's The Young Man From Atlanta may not be the dullest play ever produced, but one sincerely hopes that it is the dullest play ever to win the Pulitzer Prize. "
