I took The Boy up to camp yesterday, his sixth summer there. He was happy to see old friends, happy to snag the final bottom bunk in his cabin, and happy to see me go!
You'll no doubt note that he had much of hair whacked off on Saturday. No joke, Becky took off a good three inches and thinned out enough to make two or three poodles.
Meanwhile I'll try not to worry about the triple digit heat and sunscreen and if he'll really get his braces clean and H1N1 (several camos have cancelled entire sessions and one camp here closed for the summer after they had 66 cases) and everything else and just know he's having fun.
I'm in that nice stage where I'm enjoying the release from constant responsibility but haven't started missing him fiercely. If I remember correctly this only lasts a few days...
