(no subject)
We took The Boy off to summer camp on Sunday morning and wheee! He's off having fun and so are we.
Now, I adore my child but nine days of not being Parent in Charge!!! Wheee! (yes, again with the Wheee!)
Since the Texas Legislature has been doodling around with School Finance and tax bills ALL SUMMER I've been PIC pretty much 24/7 since Memorial Day. Actually, you could make an argument for counting back to the start of the regular session in January but as Dave made heroic efforts to be home when he could that would be petty.
So we've gone out to hear music and gone to movies in the middle of the day and met for drinks at a favorite place and gone to non-family friendly restaurants and bought a new coffee table....Wheee!
Of course, we'd be having even more fun if the tax bill wasn't going up today or tomorrow but....
So I'm deserting Dave and driving into Houston today to see an Astros game with Sib2 and Sib3! Just a girl and her big brothers. Wheee! Sweet!
And tomorrow there may be lunch with girlfriends and pedicures! Wheee! Bliss.
