Hey hey hey home jigglies, wiki wiki wiki.
So here is a little update on all the shit going down in my life. This is my, ummm, 3rd week of college and I suppose things are going okay. I've allready had to write a few long essay and do a migration report on Mozambique and I have like 175 math problems to do by tomorrow... ughhhh.
More specifics about my classes:
Schedual:
Monday: Human Geography 6:00 - 8:30 PM
Tuesday: Elementary Algebra 3:30 - 5:20 PM
Wedsenday: English Composition 7:00 - 9:30 PM
Thursday: Elementary Algebra 3:30 - 5:20 PM
I also have to put in 2 hours of Math Lab each week. Not to be confused with Meth lab, which I was transferred out of.
Teacher Reviews, Thus Far:
Mrs. Wong (I am not joking): Nice lady, from Boston, or maybe Connecticut, I only have like 6 classmates in this class and so she changed her syllabus, originially she was going to have a final worth like 70% of the grade, multiple choice. That would be AWESOME, however, sadly, she has decided to make that only worth 20% of our grade and we have to complete some group project to pass. UGH Nice folks in that class, I'm definitly the youngest by atleast 6 years.
Saad Allarachi: What is with me and ALWAYS having a math teacher that barely speaks english? I don't think I have had a non-foreigner for a math teacher since the 3rd grade, and even then Miss. Watson seemed a little chink-eyed. He talks funny and it's hard to understand him, and he likes to give you 175 math problems on your first day of class for homework. Otherwise he seems like a nice guy and he says funny things like "some professers are the sucks." That class is PACKED, and in the tiniest classroom I have ever seen. It is literally the size of my living-room with about 34 students. The dumbest of the dumbs are in that class (thats why I'm there) and his attendance policy is very unique. Basically, don't show up, if you don't want to, just be there for test day. Also we don't have to ever turn in our homework... but then if I never did my homework I would just fail all the tests, so I might as well show up and try to do the work. Mr. Allarachi requires that you complete at least 14 - 16 hours of Math Lab (once again, not Meth Lab) by the end of the semester. That means an average weekly load of two hours a week. Sitting in the math lab. Suffering. Without Meth. lol, I dunno why Math lab makes me think of Meth lab and giggle, but I digress... maybe I will just do my homework in the math lab as I don't really have to do anything specific while I'm at the lab.
Mrs. Williams-Stewart: My Trinidadian English Composition professor. She's nice, reminds me of a middle school teacher. She always has extra pencils, and pencil sharpeners, and spare paper, and she even gave us our own scantrons, which the other teachers dont seem to like to do. I think I will like her class, and as long as i keep up on the Chapter Notes I should be able to get a pretty good grade in that class. I have always been pretty good in English classes ever since I was with Mrs. Brunt, the English Nazi, of Love. That class is the medium density class, about 20 - 25 students, in a normal sized classroom. Most of the students in there are about my ages, with maybe 15% being older folks. The old people seem to take it more serious, even if they aren't there for credits, that's why i like Human Geography a lot cause everyone is serious and isn't arguing about dumb shit.
New topic: I plan to put an ad onto Facebook for my Tshirt store, I want to add some BCC shirts that say Beer Can College and Best College I Can. For 10 bucks a day I can have the ads on the Facebook for anyone from Broward, so I will probobly do it for 3 or 4 days, probobly starting on a friday or a saturday so people will log on and see the ads, and maybe I will sell some stuff, I would love to get some extra cash out of that stupid store. I mean, you don;t make money very quickly when you are only getting a dollar profit off a tshirt, but it's still funny to think that somewhere out there someone is wearing a silly shirt I made.
Oh, on Saturday I went sailing at the free BCC sailing thingy. I had a lot of fun, I was teamed up with these two beginning students who weren;t all that great. Right before I went out to get in their boat they were on the lake allready and I watched them flip the boat, let me say, that gave me a lot of courage. Once I got in the boat they almost immediatly gave the tiller to me and I got to Skipper for the majority of the time. It's a lot of fun, and pretty challanging to figure out how to make that little boat with that huge sail go across that lake with speed and without flipping over or smashing your head into the boom on a tack or jibe. I'm definitly going back this Saturday.
On Alexa news, we just past 6 months!!! I'm sooooo happy!! I love her more each day, even though she is 38,016,000 inches away. She's coming down for my birthday, she did that last year too, but we weren't dating then. I can't wait, it's our first Valentines day, and even though we wont be together on exactly valentines day I am still going to try and show her a good time, probobly take her somewhere very special. I don't have a buttload of cash but I still have the perfect idea.
Car News:
I had the bearings fixed on the GTI, but the transmission is dead. I am looking for a place to get it fixed but it is damn expensive. I started tacking the truck apart so I can take the radiator out and get that pressure tested allthough I don't think i even need to because I can see where coolant has been leaking. As for the motorcycle, it still has a busted rear rim, but that should be getting fixed pretty soon which means that will be my new transportation to and from work and school.
Ok, I think thats about it for now, I havent really been updating lately so this was a pretty big one to get everyone caught up, all 2 or 3 of you who read this.
