Provocative
I turned in my piece for the 20th Anniversary show at the D'Art center. http://www.d-artcenter.org/ if you want to check out their website. I am so hyped as it's the first time a vision in my head has turned out the same way on paper. Usually I have these flawless ideas churning around in my fat noggin and they NEVER turn out that way in the final product. But this time, success!! The name of the show is SPF20 Symbols, Phobias, & Fetishes. So of course I went for fetish. Hell, I'm not stupid. The director of the center wanted evocative and engaging work that is specific to the theme. I think I hit on that. I photographed my hot friend Jim with his shirt off and wearing jeans... well, just take a look.
I'm awful with naming my art but I called this "homage 2 mapplethOrpe" with the 2 and the Zero in caps to go along with the 20th Anniversary theme. I added the black background as there were lots of distracting things in the original background. Probably not the cleanest digital image I've seen but I'm happy with it. I want to shoot him again doing some more provocative poses and such. He's into bondage so he had a lot of fun with this, as did I. If anyone cares to comment please feel free to do so and be honest.
