Randomly, I have to ask my flist in the hope that someone would know what I'm talking about.
I saw this video on youtube AGES and AGES ago, a sort of remix of a popular song. Basically the song slowed down and it sounded very, very sad just slowed down, and the singer's voice was more vibrant, but it really put a different spin on the song.
It featured the singer sitting on motorbike with a guy? And there was money thrown at them, and it made me wince.
I thought it was 'Umbrella', but maybe it isn't. I can't seem to find this song anywhere, because I can't even remember what the name of it is, beyond that sang slow it really seemed to point out a lot of problems with the assumptions of the song.

I THINK I saw it on feministe, or on someone's flist.

The one that I REMEMBERED was this one by Alanis Morissette which is unembeddable for some reason.
I'm not sure if it's really as feminist as I thought - but the way she's singing it made it very obvious there's something really wrong with the original lyrics, I think.
