(no subject)
I never seem to update my LJ anymore. I'm never really on AIM either... I've discovered I prefer face to face communication, although text messages and Facebook wall posts are okay, and superior to phone calls or emails. At the moment I can't receive or send texts, so I'm a little fucked, but hopefully that will be resolved soon.
I have a tendency to avoid even my friends when they are attempting to reach me via certain forms of communication. I rarely check my email or private Facebook messages, and if you've ever sent me a message on LJ, rest assured I have not read it. The other day, K. sat me down, berated me for making my friends feel neglected, and forced me to go through my emails. It was not an easy moment. But I did check all my email and now I have been checking approximately once daily or every other day. It was hard realizing that some people with whom I have a tenuous relationship had attempted to contact me and I had for all intents and purposes ignored them.
I consider myself a good or at least a decent friend. I am now attempting to be a good friend even in the realm of communication. We'll see how it goes.
In unrelated news, I gave myself a crew cut and dyed the top blue. I hated it the first day but now I think it's awesome. :D
