AMC/OLTL Lives!
So it turns out the web rumors are actually true. All My Children and One Life To Live have both been licensed by Prospect Park and will be continuing as online web series! This was just announced officially by ABC today so details are a bit scarce. The actors have been released from their contracts so I'm not sure who is coming along for the web series of the shows (other than La Lucci who has confirmed she will be there in all her Erica Kane glory) and where they'll be airing online.
Either way, I'm super fucking excited you guys! My soaps live on. I sort of wonder how the end game storylines will change because of this since certain characters who are returning are just a one time thing and are played by actors who didn't make the trip from NYC to LA soooo... hmm.
Anyway! In the land of Bianca/Marissa things have gotten severely awesome.
Ramble on Marissa, you rambling diamond, you! lol. I love this. Marissa is speed talking and awkward and obviously jealous and Bianca's date calls her on her Bianca love and it's more than poor Marissa can take.
Then you have today's episode which I loved because as cute and awwww worthy Marissa and Bianca always are it's nice to see them fighting. We never really got that and I love this conflict where Marissa feels betrayed and Bianca genuinely believes she did the right thing as a friend. Marissa is straight, she can't be interested in Bianca and she wants to be with JR so why not help JR? It's not like she went into it trying to do anything deceptive. She just wanted Marissa to be happy. Both sides of their argument are valid and man, Marissa killed me at the end with her sadness and teary eyes when Bianca says they should stay away from each other for awhile.
Next week is filled with more awesome as Marissa realizes she's in love with Bianca and immediately goes to Bianca with this discovery. She also tells JR the same thing and when he goes on the attack towards Bianca, claiming she did everything she did just to get to Marissa, once again Marissa leaps to Bianca's defense. Can I say again how much I LOVE how they are writing this?
Marissa is just filled with so much awesome as a love interest for Bianca. Once she understands she wants Bianca, loves Bianca, there's no waffling with this woman, there's no angst, she just goes for it and she doesn't try to hide it or deny it anymore, she outright tells JR and that's that.
Fabulous, you guys. So fabulous is Marissa. She's the first really worthy longterm partner they've developed for Bianca, imho. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do think Maggie had potential (as much as I didn't really ship that) but it exploded and Maggie was always so horribly wishy washy with Bianca and freaked out by her own gayness. Then Reese... well, if they had developed their backstory and actually had them meet/fall in love on screen maybe. But Marissa? It's all happening in front of us and it's so fucking awesome. I hope CBL and SG sign on for the AMC web series and this continues because they'd be so adorable as a couple on the show.
