Somewhat boringly but hey, it's leading to Bianca/Marissa bonding, and I sort of like how because of AMC's weird stance against recasting Reese she's never actually there, she's just spoken about and eluded to. Which makes this divorce and custody battle a little easier to deal with in terms of viewer bearability.

I sort of wonder how much Marissa knows about Bianca's past. Specifically the rape and the whole debacle with Mimo's origins, her birth, and subsequent kidnapping by her long lost twin sister. It's par for the course with everyone in Pine Valley treating Bianca like she's some sort of wilting flower when in reality she's been through more horrible shit than most people in that town who are twice her age. I think it's the fact Bianca never seems to get bitter with the world and cynical is why everyone feels this instinctive need to protect her and it leads to them thinking she can't handle bad things.
Which history shows us just isn't the truth. Bianca has proven time and time again she can deal with the worst parts of life and the fact Marissa is trying to treat Bianca with kid gloves with details of the divorce/custody battle makes me think she doesn't really know all the horrible shit Bianca has gone through. I wonder if they'll ever broach that on the show. I honestly hope they do. I really love when soaps incorporate their massive and rich histories into new storylines and we never got to see Reese deal with finding out about Bianca's rape and Miranda's origins. I'd like to see that with Marissa.
But that's just my love of drama speaking. Scenes continue yet again at 3:07 and 7:21 in this last video.

And ohhh, prophetic, Mimo and AJ are already acting like siblings! lol. Too bad they're SO destined to date each other when they get SORAS'd. It's them or AJ and Gabby. Or maybe Gabby is with Kathy. Ah, soap kids. Moving on! Reese is going for full custody. Knew she was going to do this, not surprised, need a battle for soapy story elements, right?
However, her digging up stuff on Pine Valley and Bianca... just... so not cool. I know they're trying to villify Reese off screen, I'm not stupid. It's easy, make her the bad guy, have Bianca turn to Marissa for comfort, bingo! Shiny new ship. I get it, I get it, but still I can't help a natural "you asshole" reaction to anyone trying to find bad things about Bianca. I don't buy into the Bianca as the Patron Lesbian Saint of Pine Valley but honestly, she is genuinely one of the nicest and sweetest characters on this show and the idea of anyone setting out to ruin her irks me. Especially trying to take Mimo away. I swear, the rape/murder/babyswitch trilogy was awful but so powerful in acting and characterization. But with it you saw how Miranda saved Bianca's life and brought her back and anyone trying to take her from Bianca whether it's Babe and Krystal or Reese is just a huge fucking asshole, imho.
Onto shipping analysis. OMG, seriously, Bianca doesn't want Marissa to use the fact that Reese isn't biologically related to Miranda and Gabrielle to win custody because it could effect Marissa's custody of AJ with JR? They aren't even together and Bianca is already being protective girlfriend about Marissa. Also, Marissa's confused look of cuteness on hearing Bianca's reasoning. It's like she's been with JR too long that she doesn't comprehend someone thinking of her first and is confuzzled over it. Then Marissa being all "I won't let you ruin your chances for me" and Bianca being all cute and stubborn and fucking Bianca because she always digs her heels in when she thinks she's right and it's so adorable. So what does Marissa do? Call Kendall!
Hahah, they're so girlfriends, I mean, Marissa already knows that Kinks is true love and only Kendall can sway Bianca in times of crisis. This is fantabulous. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode. There's more bonding.
