Watch This! Blindness Beats Amnesia

Not really. Amnesia is made of soap opera win. Blindness is okay. So is paralysis. I dislike comas. They're boring. I love it when characters are trapped in wells or something like that. What is the best is mental illness.

Not the sad and realistic kind like they do on the good soap operas like, ohhh say... Guiding Light which people are still harassing me to watch but the unrealistic funny kind. Ala Janet Green or Annie Lavery. Recently on OLTL one of Jessica's crazy alters, Tess, trapped her sister Natalie and her bf, Jared, in a room that she was going to blow up with timed explosives. That was pretty epically awesome and does a lot to explain why I love OLTL like burning lately.

The highlight of today's show was the ridiculous blinding of Reese involving JR's expensive crystalline boozing set. lol. I swear, it was such a lame way to be blinded but at least it wasn't very graphic. That's a good thing, imho. Here's the thing about me... I'm not that smart and I'm easily pleased. Really. I'm not being like ohhh give me attention I feel bad about my self-image emo shit when I say that either. It's the truth. I'm not particularly brilliant and when it comes to tv and movies I'm pretty easy to keep happy. I have low expectations and I never am a person to say something is ground breaking or that a tv show or a movie is meaningful to me. It's all entertainment and that's all I want really.

That being said, I don't tend to like it when people get sort of uppity about tv and movies or even music and go into this in depth analysis of it. Why can't people just like it or dislike it and that be that? It's like metaphors and books. I fucking hate them and I hate it when people insist on writing them unnecessarily and readers who look for hidden meaning in everything. I've had people try to tell me what my characters really are thinking in my fanfics when I've written their fucking thoughts so you already know but nooooo, it's a metaphor or it's hidden and blah blah so what I wrote they were thinking isn't really what they're thinking and whoop-de-doo!

But you know, if you want to do that shit it could be used with Reese and the blinding today. Like, lets say that Reese has been blind to all of her own issues involving the relationship with Bianca, hiding things away, trying to keep her facade of perfection to keep Bianca out of fear that to reveal everything she was, all her problems, would cause her to lose Bianca and the girls which happened anyway. Thus her refusal to see these things has lead to the real life circumstances that created her actual blindness which will give her the time to pause and look inward to find the answers to why she's done all these things and come to terms with who she really is and what she needs from Bianca and when she does poof! Blind no more.

That's what I could suppose if I was someone who liked analyzing and finding hidden meaning in every little thing. Instead, I'm the person who just giggles when one of my favorite characters is blinded by crashing into a collection of conveniently placed tumblers. Also, that bodyguard dude Adam has hanging around was pretty fucking useless. I wonder if he'll get fired when Adam gets wind he was just standing idly by when Zach blinded Reese ala crystalline goblets on a tray? Huh.
