I think he and teh writers knew at least there would be situations like "gay? not gay?" I can't see any other reason why they would give Angela a boyfriend. :D I mean, this is The Office!!! It is known with this kind of humour. :P

You know what, actually BJ Novak mentioned Jack's character around the time Jack talked about it in the last Heroes panel. I think Ausiello's spoiler was nothing but a red-herring. (Or was it mentioned on EW? I can't remember) On the other hand, BJ Novak didn't say anything about the senator being someone with "John Hamm-wholesomeness." No, you got it right, they totally misled us.

But you have a point, I think the writers didn't make a decision on every detail of his storyline. As we discussed before, they might have thought that it worked and maybe that's why we got the engagement news. :P Ugh, it kills me that we don't know anything about this. And again, I'd be majorly pissed off if they drop the storyline during this summer hiatus.

There will be more news about the next season especially in August and my eyes will be open for any Jack/The Office related news. XD
