Would like to attend.
Are you looking for a site with built-in projection systems and such?

That would be a lovely perk! I definitely want projection *capabilities* - if it comes right down to it, I can get my hands on projection equipment, but I would very much like to not have to worry about having a room that can handle projection (flat white wall, pull down screen, whathaveyou).

Having the equipment in place would be one less thing to worry about; so, too, having in-house a/v of the "we bring in the site's laptop and connect it" variety. I am aware that this can sometimes be quite spendy, but I'm still interested in finding out about it.

A useless comment would be that we should recruit a bunch of MIT students. The day of costume lectures by Robin Netherton (at least 10 years ago) was made possible by access to a lecture hall at MIT that was equipped with multiple screens, a built-in projector + a rented slide projector. That was just one room (albeit a big room) plus rest rooms down the hall. Are you looking for a bunch of smaller rooms? My automatic thought is of a college (or maybe modern church Sunday school building?)

I am planning for a collection of somewhat smaller rooms - two presentation classrooms, a poster room, and a couple of breakout spaces.

I am looking a little further out than MIT, since a large number of the most interested people will be coming in from out-Barony and will need parking. I do not at present think that Brandeis and Tufts rent to outside groups, but I am investigating. Babson and Bentley do, but they may be above our price point - I am awaiting quotes. I am also looking into suburban high schools and community colleges, although they are more likely to have conflicts on a Saturday.

A modern church building would also be quite lovely - a fellowship hall would be great for the poster session. If you know of any that could fit the bill, I would love to know about them.
