Ok, so my last trip for work went like this...
7 hours on a plane
4-1/2 hours in airports
4-1/2 hours driving
3 hours on the job site
That's a 19 hour day boys and girls...back and forth to Tucson, Arizona in one day.
Next trip (August 8th through August 9th is to Salem, Oregon. We're flying through Phoenix to Portland
with a layover there and back. The trip out is supposed to take 7 hours and 15 minutes and the trip back is supposed to be just under 7 hours. So that will be about 14 hours of traveling, 4-5 hours in airports, probably
only 3 hours driving (Portland to Salem there and back), and we'll actually have some realy time on the job site. That's the difference between going to survey for a remodeling job and performing a "construction observation"
on a building under construction.
I still get back at a lousy time thursday night, right around midnight. UGH, the wife isn't happy with my travel
schedule at all. This is one of the main reasons that I didn't take that Ventilation Manager's position with the
Battery Division of Johnson Controls last year. The position required like 1/3 of your time for travel to the various
battery plants all over the country and mexico. That would not have flown with the wife one bit.
Anyway, hoping that this heat breaks by the middle of next week.
