[The PCD clatters to the ground, showing Rhode's rather distinctive heavy shoes and striped socks. Her voice somewhere above sounds angry, and maybe a touch panicked. Scared? Surely not.]
[Really now. He'd cleared his busy schedule for a nap and everything. But that... that didn't sound right at all. Still, it won't do to panic. Who knows, maybe Cyril got into something again.]
[She'll hear him approaching from behind, shaking his hands through his hair and yawning. Well. Everything seems all right.]
[Rhode's shoulders are stiff, and she's standing staring at nothing. If a little girl could radiate pure fury, she's practically vibrating with malice.]
[He frowns - not that she can see it - and pads forward. There's something funny in the way that she's holding herself, however, and so he slows a little before side-stepping around her and crouching down.]
[Her hand reaches out, smacks him lightly in the chest and then immediately her fingers curl into Tyki's shirt. She sounds beyond pissed off, staring a little past Tyki's right ear. Her eyes are blank, though not colorless.]
They took my vision Tyki. [The venom in those five words could kill.]
[He doesn't have time to really react to the way she smacks him in the chest. Something - either the way she's looking at him, but not quite seeing, or the words themselves - stops him immediately.]
... come now, I believe there are quite a few folks who would take offense to that sort of joke.
[He has every intention of saying, "Well, clearly, some of the more tasteless people in this hellhole," but it's lost on him. Tyki reaches up and snaps his fingers in front of her face, looking for some kind of reaction, a flinch.]
[When his fingers snap right in front of her she jerks back, the sound startling her. She lashes out to smack him, managing only to bump into his arm.]
Oi. [Her being startled actually startles him, and he jumps slightly, much to his surprise.] Oi.
[There really isn't any room to be really scared, or even angry at the moment. It hasn't quite hit him yet. His first instinct is to draw her closer to him and slip his arms around her, almost like a shield.]
[His voice is soft when he finally speaks, just above a murmur.]
[She's stiff when he first touches her but she relaxes almost immediately. This is really a terrible situation. The only upside is half the city will be similarly affected. Anyone coming for Tyki in that time is unlikely, right? She buries her face in whatever part of him is closest, chest, likely. Eyes closing.]
[It's his chest. His hand finds the back of her head, and he strokes her hair. An absent distraction from the anger that's starting to prickle in the tips of his fingers. Been a while since he's genuinely wanted to rip something's vocal cords through its throat.]
I might have been spared the embarrassment. Lucky me, yes?
[She relaxes by inches at the soothing. She's safe. And as long as he's with her, Tyki is safe too. She wraps her arms around him a little clumsily and holds.]
[She'd like that. Better than being alone. She's sick of being alone. Really starting to hate it all around--no, she's always hated it. But this place reminds her of why.]
[She'll hear him approaching from behind, shaking his hands through his hair and yawning. Well. Everything seems all right.]
Oi. You called?

[Please be a joke. Please?]

[Rhode yells, clearly rattled. Never mind she would play a prank like this, for attention.]

[Anything.]

Tyki will have to pamper me this week.

[He's not going anywhere, not going to leave her alone. She might want to watch out, he'll be tempted to sleep in her bed again.]
We'll start with chocolate for breakfast.

Chocolate cake with candy on top.

[Tightens his hold a little, and begins to lift her up. Where would you like to go, Love?]

[Anywhere. She doesn't care. As long as you don't leave. She tightens her arms around him a bit. Not being able to see is weird, Tyki.]
