Wedding Bell Blues...
So everywhere I turn people are getting engaged or getting married. Thats right, its marriage season folks. People are graduating and their beaus wanna hold on to them....people have been planning for this special day for months and then there are those out of nowhere "engaged" posts on facebook! I'm soooo sad friends. I want to get married too!
I even caught myself looking at rings online. I'm not even a ring person! I have no interest and no idea what is a good cut, a good vision, a good company! However, I do know what kind of ring I want. DJ and I actually discussed this a couple months ago (even though I'm NOT getting one anytime soon!)....We both liked the idea of a 3 stone ring that are joined (wedding band and engagement ring). So basically the engagement ring has one diamond and the wedding band has the other 2 and they join together. Ive always wanted my wedding band joined to my engagement ring so it was a perfect idea!
Granted, there is much that needs to be done before even considering the idea of marriage! First off, DJ needs ot meet the parentals. THen, he needs to come with me for a Cali vacay and meet the San Antonio and Ramelb clans. From those visits, I can see if he can survive my family. Family is very important to me and their opinion is muy importante. I can honestly say that if my cousins don't like him, I'm SURE that it won't last. Its not hard to get along with my family (esp the SAs) but there are few that we didn't approve of...and they didn't last long. I'm sure DJ will pass all the tests with flying colors but its procedure.
So until that time comes where I will be wearing a ring (cuz u know my mantra--i don't wear rings unless its my wedding ring!)....I shall be happy to know I have someone to even consider marriage with...and go on with my merry life :)
