Went out to Pacific Mall and Ikea today to shop around for house stuff.
Got some little things, not sure about some others. Question: do we need a frying pan/skillet? And how about knives? And how about oven mitts? And a dishrack?
And Sarah I saw a colander @ Ikea for $14.99. I don't know if that's normal or not either..
Also wondering about a chopping board??
Anyway here's the stuff I got:
CHOPSTICKS. I think I'll mostly be using them but oh well.
Yes, they have little cartoon vegetables on them...
Nicolle I didn't get the Hello Kitty pair, though I should have, for you, cause I only saw them afterwards =(.
A smallish rice cooker! Can double as a slow cooker, steamer, and can keep stuff warm for hours...
This is the thing I was talking about that you can do anything in. Comes with two different inserts. Can make soup, fry stuff, hot pot, scrambled eggs & bacon, etc.
Right, so when I went to Ikea I couldn't remember if we got cutlery or not, so here is a set of 20 pieces for $10 that I got, along with a heart-shaped ice cube tray.
Set of plastic containers for storing leftovers/freezing food, because I know we'll need to do that. I like how there's 4 or 5 different sizes.
The best purchase of the day, I believe. Porcelain bowls that have plastic covers and can be microwaved. YAY.
My mom also reminded me of a set of bowls we own so I am going to bring those as well.
Who is bringing baking stuff, and do we have a spice rack??
There are too many little things I'd forgotten...
