Here Long leg’s pull and tighten with each graceful step into the shallows. Tanned feet skirt around the jagged and flat stones submerged in the six inches of water that the naked man travels, as the sun glistens on the surface of the water, shimmering like gold flecks in a miner’s light.
He was made first, only slightly after the earth, skies, and seas were born. He was granted gifts that made him special from the men who looked like him. He can make the most powerful weapons known with just a mere thought. The tall man only has to think about it, and the water springs forward, shaping the weapon from his mind, solidifying in strong metal, and as the water rushes away, a gleaming mass of sharp instrument remains behind.
But here is where the problem lies in our story. The talent of the man was heard from every sea and earth creature’s mouth, so it really shouldn’t have been a surprise when one day a mad self-made warlock who possessed lesser powers approached the bare man. “I want you to build me the strongest and most powerful swords,” He demanded. “I want to be the most formidable person in the world, and you can make it so,” The tall, dark hair, nude man only shook his head.
No, he made weapons for no man. He did it just because he could. He had no desire to help or cause problems for the people that inhabit the earth, he was just happy living far away from people, enjoying the little cove that had become his over the centuries. For you see, the protagonist in this story is immortal. He will outlive all others; he will never change like the seas and the earth. He will forever remain just being.
The evil man stood tall as he laughed at the foolishness of the unclothed man that toyed in the water. “So be it.” In a mere second, spiders began to crawl on the man in the water. Quickly, he slid through the water until he reached the deeper swells of the sea. Without a moment of hesitation, he drove deep, and commenced to shed the spiders as if they were a layer of dead skin. As he broke the surface of the water, he checked himself over just to discover one black, oily spider hanging onto his arm. It’s thin, thread like legs forming a clamp. He began to pull at it, but the harder he pulled; the spider would just hang on more tightly.
The spider finally retreated after it sank it’s fangs unto the flesh of the immortal. The immortal in turn began to sink into the depths of the seas, began to change.
“Yo! Jared!” A voice called from downstairs. “If you’re going you better hurry your ass up!”
“Be there in a sec, Brian!” Jared yelled out his open bedroom door. Brian was his adopted brother, or well he was Brian’s adopted brother, really Jared didn’t understand it, all he knew was the Pritt’s have given him a place to stay, like so many other families had before them.
Before this it was the Williams’, before them, the Rollin’s, and before them the Greene’s and the list just kept growing. Every family had been nothing but hospitable towards him, but as time went on, he always had to move on and find a new family; always looking for something to make him stay in one place.
“Seriously Jay, if you don’t move your ass, I’m gonna leave it!”
Jared hopped around on one foot while he tugged the other shoe on, before running down the stairs, and out the open door that Brian must have left open for him. Gliding swiftly across the yard, Jared slid into the passenger seat of his brother’s Corvette. He barely had time to fasten his seatbelt before Brian gunned the engine, taking off with a sequel of tires.
Brian stopped the car on the curb, in front a light blue, two-story house on the outskirts of the neighborhood. Even with the windows rolled up, Jared could still hear the blaring music coming from inside the house. Stepping outside the car, Jared smiled as he watched people crowd around his brother. Brian was the most popular in school, every social group flocked to him, and he in turn spoke to everyone. He was never just with the popular kids; he could be seen hanging out with the goths just as well as with the jocks. That’s why he got invited to every party, and why a parking spot was always saved for him directly in front of the locale of the bash.
Jared made his way around the group of partiers fighting for Brian’s attention, and soon stepped inside of the house. This week the party was at Terri Pierson’s home. She was the co-captain of the cheerleading squad and currently Brian’s girlfriend. Jared greeted the people that bid for his attention, if only to get in with his older brother, but he didn’t stay to chat, instead his eyes were searching out a particular person.
“Jared,” a hand landing on his shoulder accompanied the voice, and Jared found himself already smiling as he turned around.
“Jen,” he said moving closer to the older boy. Jensen Ackles was a senior, his brother’s best friend, and at the moment Jared’s boyfriend. “Can we leave now?” Jared asked frowning at the loud music. He had never been a fan of loud music, and drinking until the next day you thought you were dying.
Grinning, because Jensen knew the only reason Jared even showed up was because he had asked him to, Jensen wrapped his arm around the other boy’s waist and begin pulling him back to the door Jared had just entered through, “Sure, let’s go.”
“So,” Jensen whispered, holding Jared close as they walked down the empty sidewalk, “Are you going to tell me more of that story from last week?”
Jared grinned his dimpled smile when Jensen raised their linked hands and kissed his fingers. This alone made him decide to humor his boyfriend.
The Immortal rose from the depths of the water. He no longer felt any connection to the sea around him, and he felt part of his soul die. Shamed, he quickly exited the clear sea, stopping only at the water’s edge to add his salty tears to the molecules of water he no longer felt inside himself.
He left the cove, he’s only home, and traveled the landscape. He was ashamed when he had stolen clothing from the first home he came to, yet he knew he couldn’t wander aimlessly naked. So he took what he needed in the dead of night, before he traveled on, searching for something to make his soul feel alive again.
When a few years passed by in the blink of an eye, the Immortal found himself miles away from his cove. The beautiful cove where he was placed when time began. He slowly sank into a deep depression, no longer looking at the sights around him, instead he walked on as if he didn’t exist, because he no longer felt alive and he wished for the first time that he could die.
The depression he felt continued, pulling him further into himself until one day a concerned family insisted that he stay for dinner, stating that he was too thin to travel as he had been doing. Seeing the sadness in the faces of the family, he decided to stay for dinner if not only to make them smile as they did when they met him. Strangely though, he stayed. The family soon considered him one of their own and he grew to accept this part of his life even though he itched to travel on.
Jared pushed open the glass pane door and stepped into the air conditioned shop. He strolled over to Jensen and smiled as his boyfriend leaned across the counter and kissed his lips, swiping his tongue over the seam before pushing through and devouring his mouth. When he finally pulled away, Jensen’s eye’s glittered like the sun shining over a calm lake, “I’m off in twenty minutes,” he whispered, breath ghosting over Jared’s slick lips, “Will you wait for me?”
“Always,” Jared answered, his eyes still closed, and his skin still tingling from the kiss.
Jared made his way to look through the cd’s in the countless aisles. This was where he first met Jensen. He had just moved in with the Pritt’s and Brian was supposed to pick his friend up from work, and he asked Jared if he wanted to tag along. Jared, bored out of his mind, nodded, and together they got into Mr. Pritt’s Escalade and headed towards the record store in the mall.
“Meet my new brother, Jared,” Brian told a disgruntled man behind the counter.
Upon meeting Jared’s gaze, his mood quickly changed, and he smiled as he shook the other boy’s hand, “Jensen Ackles,” he said to Jared, introducing himself. “So you’re staying with Brian’s family?”
“Yeah, for a while at least.” Jared replied, staring at the older boy, shocked that he felt a warm feeling deep inside himself.
“What da mean, a while?” Jensen questioned, his eyes searching Jared’s face for the answer.
“I never stay at a place too long. Gotta keep moving,” Jared sadly revealed.
“That’s nonsense,” the shorter boy told him, “I would live with Brian’s folks if I was given the choice.” Jared just nodded his head, not wanting to explain his reasons for knowing he would one day leave.
“Hey,” Jensen whispered in Jared’s ear as he wrapped his arms around the younger boy, “Stop thinking so hard, people around here ain’t used to that.”
Jared huffed a laugh as he leaned back into his boyfriend’s embrace. “So what are we doing tonight?”
“Folks are out of town, visiting my grandma, figured you could stay over and we could watch movies,” the older boy informed him, hoping Jared would be okay with it.
“We better get going then,” Jared replied looking out at the darkening sky.
Soon after that, Jared climbed into Jensen’s truck and held his hand as they made their way to Jensen’s house.
Then one day, the family took the Immortal to the market. See, he had never been there, and it fascinated him. So many things to look at; so many people to talk with. The Immortal searched throughout the market, not really looking for anything in particular just seeing how many new things he could find. But you see Fate plays a major role in this story, and soon the Immortal finds himself standing in front of a stand selling different varieties of fruit.
The Immortal was shocked; he never knew there were so many different kinds of the delicious fruits that he had come to love. He was bent over examining a yellow and red oval fruit when someone cleared their throat. Glancing up, the Immortal took in the startling green eyes of the merchant behind the stand, all of a sudden his mouth grew dry, and he was left speechless.
“Are you interested in buying something?” The merchant asked, barely containing a grin as he looked at the handsome man standing in front of him.
“I have no coin,” the Immortal regretfully told him.
“Oh,” replied the merchant, “Well, you still need to try this,” the merchant took the melon that the Immortal had been ogling and cut into it with a knife. Juices spilled over the merchant’s hands as he sliced a piece off and handed it to the Immortal.
Sweet favor burst over the Immortal’s taste buds as he bit into the ripened fruit. The Immortal moaned, and the merchant stared breathlessly as he struggled to breathe.
Jared fell backwards onto the bed, his shirt was shed somewhere downstairs, and he feels Jensen pulling at his jeans. Moaning, Jared connected his mouth to Jensen’s throat and began sucking the blood to the surface. He hissed as his jeans were pulled over his engorged dick, as Jensen dropped to his knees to pull off his lover’s shoes and to get rid of Jared's jeans and boxers.
Standing back, Jensen looked over his boyfriend; a smile pulling at his lips as he unzipped his own pants, and pushed them off his hips. Quickly, he covered Jared and began trailing kisses up and down his body. “Jen,” Jared whined, trying to get his lover to stop messing around and get on with it.
“Okay, baby,” Jensen dejectedly sighed, as he opened the bottle of lube. Fingers entered Jared, swiftly preparing him so his body could accept Jensen inside. With each finger that was added, Jared’s body shook more, and his voice got louder.
Removing the three fingers that had stretched his lover, Jensen ripped open the condom and rolled it over his erection. Jensen than positioned himself with his cock pressing lightly against Jared’s entrance. “Ready, baby?” he asked the writhing boy underneath him.
“Please, Jen, need you,” the taller boy answered, arching up as Jensen slid into the hot heat.
With grunts and moans, the two boys found a rhythm that worked and shortly Jensen was able to push in faster, as he listened to Jared beg him to go harder. In no time at all, Jensen’s body was convulsing as he came deep inside his lover. The older boy than wrapped his hand around Jared’s hard cock and began to pull at the same time as he fucked his tongue into Jared’s mouth.
Jared arched his neck back, pulling away from Jensen’s mouth, as he screamed out Jensen’s name, and come splashed over Jensen’s hand in spurts of white heat.
It took minutes for the two boy’s breathing to even out, and then Jensen was pulling out of Jared, and tying the condom before disposing of it. Taking his shirt from the floor, Jensen cleaned Jared the best he could before lying down beside of him and embracing the younger boy in his arms. “Jare,” he whispered.
“Hmm?” Jared murmured out feeling sedated and ready for sleep.
“You never finished the story.” Jensen breathed into his ear before he kissed the taller man’s forehead.
From that day forward, the Immortal and merchant became inseparable. The lived together, laughed together, and loved together. It didn’t take long for the Immortal to tell the other man who he really was and how he had wandered the world looking for something to replace what the sea had always given him.
“Did you find it?” the merchant asked as he cradled the other man in his arms, as their sweaty bodies sank into the bed.
“Yes,” the Immortal said, “I found you.”
