[PUBLIC] flumpool/WEAVER con report!
FLUMPOOL AND WEAVER CON REPORTTTTT
(repost, but this is a public post with extra bits that i have just remembered added in! :D if you've seen the locked version this one's about the same. making public on request.)
please note that there will be very little mention of actual songs played. this report will consist more of feels and spazzing. AND PHOTOS.
(note: using weaver nicknames here. be-chan = kawabe/drums, okkun = okuno/bass, sugi = sugimoto/vocals and piano.)
i got to scape at 1, and niki and joey had been queuing since like 8+.
we ended up singing stupid things and crocheting to pass the time. I SAW MY GP TUTOR QUEUING IN THE GENERAL ADMISSION QUEUE OMFG SHE WAS MARKING, TOO
( i was in vip queue, by the way!)
queue opens at 6.30 and because we're the first few in the queue I GOT TO SIT IN THE FIRST ROW. ALSKDFJSDLKG.
NEAR THE CENTRE (kinda skewed a little to the right) SLKDFJLSKJG
THIS CLOSE TO THE STAGE
so they're playing pvs before the con actually starts and everyone's singing along and getting high
AND THEN IT STARTS
I AM IN FRONT OF BE-CHAN, LIKE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS DRUM SET.
AND HE IS SUPER ADORBS OH MY GOD ;U; LIKE A LITTLE KID
he kept mouthing along to the piano when there was no singing, like 'doop de doop doop' or smth to that effect SO. CUTE. I SWEAR. I FELL IN LOVE. OH MY GOD
AND HE SMILED AT ME. LIKE DIRECTLY AT ME. /SPAZZES
they play some songs and then we have the first mc! in which everyone introduces themselves and sugi tells us about his discovery of ice kachang (shaved ice with syrups and jelly) and how he's been craving it every since they went to chinatown when they came down before in march
and then he was like I WILL EAT IT TOMORROW, YES.
okkun introduces himself twice (he screwed up in the middle in the first time) and goes "i'm shouta okuno!" with that cocky smile while he points to himself and alskfjsdkj SO IKEMEN BUT ALSO KINDA REALLY HILARIOUS
then be-chan goes I LEARNED CHINESE. LIKE, A LITTLE.
AND THEN GOES ON TO SPEAK IN FREAKING FLUENT CHINESE
LIKE, THE ACCENT IS OFF BUT THE VOCAB HE WAS USING WAS /NOT/ 'A LITTLE'
then okkun is like hey hey wait I SPEAK CHINESE TOO.
and then be-chan and okkun have a chinese battle in which they try to one-up each other by seeing who loves the audience more
and sugi is in the middle looking all confused like WAIT GUYS WHAT IS GOING ON SPEAK IN ENGLISH PLEASE and then finally mock-yells at them in chinese to get them to stop
be-chan also entertains us with the story that he apparently told in march about his family trip to the singapore flyer and the night safari where he saw LIONS and RHINOS and CROCODILES
(in the middle sugi was acting out the animals he named like a complete derp haha)
and then they go back to playing
GUYS SUGI IS FREAKING KAKKOII ON THE PIANO OKAY LIKE OMFG VIDEOS HAVE NOTHING ON THIS
and okkun came over to fanservice (he was on the other side) and we all kyaa ourselves into oblivion
THEY PLAYED HARD TO SAY I LOVE YOU OMFG they apparently didn't play it in march so i was hoping they would this time and THEY DID ALSKLDKFJSLKJ SO SO SO SO SO SO AMAZINGGGGGGG AAAAAAAAAAH SPAZZING THE WHOLE TIME AND WAVING MY LIGHTSTICK LIKE AN IDIOT
SUGI PLAYED THE KEYBOARD WITH HIS /SHOE/

they sang shine as their last song (FAVOURITE SONG OFF JUBILATION OMFG) but after they left, before the stage lights even dimmed everyone was already going ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE
THEY PLAYED BOKURA NO EIEN FOR ENCORE A;SKFJSDK;GFJLFKD
AND ALLOWED US TO TAKE PHOTOS (like they explicitly went "feel free to take photos") so the fat security guard couldn't stop us HAH
AND WE SANG ALONG AND SUGI LOOKED SO /TOUCHED/ OMFG MY KOKORO OKAY

AND THEN FLUMPOOL
there is a 10-minute interlude in which they move the instruments around and play some flumpool pvs. it's the usual flumpool layout, so we were essentially in kazuki's area.
AND THEN AND THEN THEY COME OUT AND I CANNOT BREATHE BECAUSE THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT I'VE BEEN DREAMING OF FOR FREAKING LONG
they start the first song (calling, if i remember correctly) and i make a heart with my hands at ryuta when he comes over and HE WAVES AT ME ALSKDJLKFSJLKGJDLKSHGLAKHLGK SCREAMS INCOHERENTLY
kazuki likes to do fanservicey stuff with his guitar haha like he goes right up to the edge of the stage when he plays his riffs and we're all like KYAAAAAAA /WAVES LIGHTSTICKS
ryuta introduces the band and does his usual dose of kazuki-bullying
"everyone, this is the most popular guy in japan! the most laughed-at! HE IS DORAEMON!"
and kazuki goes HEY
so ryuta says LOL SORRY EVERYONE, HE'S NOT DORAEMON, HE IS A COMEDIAN
and kazuki is all HEY HEY HEY LOOK AT THIS DUDE IT'S A GUITAR

kazuki takes out this bowl from where it's hidden from behind the speaker and goes like HEY GUYS IT'S BAK KUT TEH! (pork rib soup)
they'd previously mentioned in an interview in singapore that they wanted to try bak kut teh so i was quite amused that he'd brought it in
BUT KNOWING KAZUKI BRINGING IT IS NOT ENOUGH
SO HE TAKES THE CHOPSTICKS AND STARTS EATING THE PORK RIB

ryuta turns around and sees him and he's all HEY WAIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING and kazuki waves like wait dude i'm eating stop it

but it wasn't because i am so i assume that IT WAS THEIR NEW SINGLE

and then we scream for encore again and then flumpool come back!! (they didn't say anything about photos but i just took some anyway when the fat guard wasn't looking)
they sang one song i can't remember AND DONNA MIRAI NI MO AI GA ARU ALSKDFSDJLGKJLFKDAH
after that they're all ready to leave, and then ryuta goes BUT I HAD SO MUCH FUN, I DON'T WANNA GO HOME!
and all of us are like NEITHER DO WE

HOSHI NI NEGAI WO
so after the con niki and joey drag me to where the van is so we can ambush the bands as they leave. i'd written them fanletters so i was quite looking forward to passing it to them
we wait like 20~30 minutes with the fat guard in the way and then WEAVER APPEARS ALSDFKJ
they were waving and smiling and stuff and i would have highfived them except the guard was in the way so i just passed my letter to be-chan when niki passed her drawing to him (we were apparently the only ones giving them things?)
and then i kinda screamed SUGI DAISUKI at sugi :x HE TURNED AROUND AND SMILED OKAY KYUN KYUN
and then flumpool appears and this time the fat guard wasn't around so I HIGHFIVED GENKI AND KAZUKI ASKDFJSLKGFJFLKJLK (seiji was too far from us) and passed my letter to ryuta, who looked super surprised! think i was the only one who gave flumpool things. :DDDDD i hope they actually read my letters >< (or that they can at least understand my handwriting)
we then sent the bus off and waved goodbye to everyone until the bus disappeared.
