Long time no post

I am very diligant when it comes to my blog,cjsmidnightartist.blogspot.com ,The Midnight Artist, but after my last post I found I was actually pregnant and had my daughter on August 29th in 2008.  I am excited about having a daughter.  She is going to be 2 at the end of the year but I am still excited that she has come into my life.  I went through gestational diabetes with her and stuck to the diet and did everything I was supposed to to keep her from being too big and it worked.  She actually came out small.  My delivery was very good from all the other stories I have heard.  I had an epidural an hour or so after they broke my water, I screamed a lot, and then after I got the epidural I passed out.  I slept for about 8 hours and then they had me do practice pushes and then they told me not to push.  I didn't and Gabby was ready even if I was pushing or not.  By the time they got me to the delivery room, her head was already out of me and I only had to push to get her shoulder free.  I was so happy that she was safe and healthy and she still is safe and growing fast.  She is walking and saying some words, but she loves to run and talk about gibberish and when she makes jokes, she laughs and it makes us laugh, even though we don't know what she is saying yet.  I am very blessed to have Gabrielle Renee-Iris Martin in my life.  I think I will still celebrate mother's day with a sort of reverence for those women who try everything and cannot have a baby or have had one and they passed.  I love my daughter, I work so hard to make sure she is growing and learning the way she needs to and can feel safe and comforted, but those mother's who never were or who were but are so sad to have lost a part of themselves, I mourn for you and try all the harder to help my daughter grow up well for you.

Uhm... so, yeah. :D  I think I am done rambling. :D
