So the running thing has been going pretty okay. I started a month ago today and have over doubled my time. When I started I could only do 7 minutes. this past Tuesday I did 16. I don't work out as intensely as I did when I started because I stopped following my snap fitness workouts. I should probably start those up again. I also sort of ( Read more... )

Wow! I'm super impressed with your running! It would take me way longer to work up to 16 minutes straight. I kinda stopped trying after I reached 10 minutes... like seven months ago.

Yay to the daily plate. It's totally helping me with portions and the random junk food I eat 'cause I'm bored. A tootsie roll is way too many calories than it's worth. It makes me wonder just HOW MUCH crap I was eating before I started counting.

Good job!

Thanks! It is... ridiculously hard. the running. I just keep thinking about how Colin will come back from korea looking the same as he did when he left and I will be super hot and toned so when I see him again he'll be all like 'daaamn'. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it works in my mind. plus i wanna do a 5k which... may be reaching but it's a goal.

I decided to join the Daily Plate too. I was trying to just keep track of what I ate based on the food pyramid, but that wasn't really working. I used a different site awhile ago, CalorieCount.com, but Daily Plate seems like a good one too.

And I second what Sarah said, keeping food diary makes me think about all the crap I eat, which is a lot, as it turns out.

yeah. for me, definitely seeing a list of what I eat helps sort of.... materialize it. If that makes any sense at all. It also makes me feel better when I exercise! Like today I ate ... too much junk and was over my caloric intake by a couple hundred calories but then I entered my exercise and I am below my caloric intake for the day! So it's like... a prize!

Yay to running! I'm working on running faster...I can usually do about 20 minutes going 5.0 with no incline, haha. We should run a 5k together!

And I cearly need to join the Daily Plate, too!
