Good morning, all!
Wow...I haven't been here in a loo~oong time. Anyhoo, in case you haven't already figured it out, I'm back from China! This journal went dead for quite some time due to China's winning censorship issues. I am, however, back in action!
Many things have happened during my year away, from deciding what I want to do my thesis on to romantic....situations. I've dealt with the ups and down. I've handled all the interesting things thrown my way.
I went to Beijing and saw the Great Wall (check).
I went to Phoenix City, a river village, and ate crab on a stick (Che--what?)
I spent a year learning about a new culture, studying their language and history (check).
I made new friends (check).
I'm dealing with the worst relationship problem I've ever faced (and surviving *sigh*).
Many other things have happened my way, but I just don't have the ability to write about all of them now. So, I've decided to do this:
Is there anything you'd like to know? Any question you want answered or any story you want told? Let me know here, and I'll delve into the details of my adventures (and misadventures). I'll add some stories along the way on my own as well, pinning up the highlights of my trip, but...for the most part...I plan to focus on the here and now. If I don't get any requests, don't expect to see much about the last year that you may not have already been told in person.
I do have to say though - If there's one thing China taught me, it's to appreciate what I have already. And I do. I cherish it and all of you very very much.
Honestly, I don't have much else to say except any pictures you might want will be found on facebook (as soon as I get them off my broken computer).
As for the very very present, I plan to go car shopping today with my grandmother. It's a long story, but if you happen to recall a joke about cars and my mother (and father) you might have a clue as to why I'm getting a new car today. It's a strange strange world I'm living in now, and half the time I don't know which way is up.
But at least I've got free reign over the internet now, right? XD
I love you guys, and I'm glad to be home. I'll see all of you as soon as I can. Please don't get mad if I forget. I'm very overwhelmed right now.
