Marikit posted about a mysticalball website that was very cool, magical and fun. Everyone should try it! (Thanks Marikit! <3):
www.mysticalball.com Pick any two digit number, add the individual digits, then subtract your total from your original number. Think the wizard won't know your answer? Think again. Take a closer look at the chart of numbers, make a few random equations, then try to divide all your answers by 9. See a pattern? All the answers you get from doing the equations on different numbers end up being multiples of 9. Also, the symbols that go with those answers are all the same. Then click "Try Again". You'll see that the symbols change, but they're still all the same in reference to the 9-multiple numbers. That's the trick. You can do this equation as many times as you want, get "random" answers and be amazed by the mind-powers of the electronic wizard, but all it does is recycle symbols for those particular numbers. And those same numbers are the only numbers you'll get. So don't worry, the internet can't read your mind (YET), but it's still a awfully nifty trick to dazzle the bored 'net surfer for a while. You could also make a hand-written chart to fool your friends with! Clever, non? I certainly liked it.
