Who were you expecting?
Well, contrary to popular assumption...
*waves hands around and jumps up and down*
I'm NOT dead!!!
Quite alive, actually. And incredibly happy.
And in love.
Did I mention that?
The guy I mentioned in my previous post, Justin....Yeah, we've been dating for about three months or so now. He's everything I never thought I wanted, lol. Ask anyone. He's the complete opposite of what who I always imagined myself with. He even has red hair! Red! I don't date redheads...but somehow, it just works.
He's funny, but it's a goofy humor that contrasts against my sarcastic humor. He watches stupid movies, like Will Ferrel (no offense to anyone else who watches them) while I'm watching the latest reptile documentary or some old movie I've seen a thousand times. He refuses to listen to country music and I refuse to listen to his heavy metal music. We can only find a common ground in classic rock. He's very religious...and I'm not nearly as devout a Christian as he is. He's a wrestler. I'm a writer. He likes working out. I like working with snakes. He is the eternal optimmist and I am forever the realist. I see things in black and white, while he sees them in shades of gray. We don't have much in common, but we agree on where it counts. Sometimes he annoys me to no end, but still, I can't imagine meeting anyone else...ever. And to think this was all set-up by my aunt when I attended my first-ever wrestling show...
A couple of months ago, because of the drama surrounding the church that was hosting the UCW events and his own desire for personal gain, he moved to a city two hours away to live with a friend of his and get on his feet. At first, the news upset me, but when he told me the reason....I could do nothing but support him all the way. And that reason was, "I want to be someone that you'll want to invest in someday...for the long haul."
Most of you have known me for a while, and you know that after about the two month mark, I find a secret passageway and run for the hills...but this guy, he's talking about kids and the future and...I'm staying right here. I'm not scared. I'm not worried. I'm not wanting to take the first flight outta couple-dom. I'm just dealing. And that...is a huge step for me.
And in addition to that, I've decided to branch into breeding reptiles in the coming year. Why not take my passion and hobby a step further...and make a little income off of it, right? Also within the next year, I will be obtaining my pharmacy technician license, my Wildlife Exhibition License, and a motorcycle license. Yeah....Funny how things can chance, isn't it?
So, all in all, life is good. There's so much more that I would love to share, but I'll handle that at a later date. I hope all are well and that life is treating you wonderfully.
