I got home about three hours ago from looking at apartments.
I checked out about five different places and they were all either crappy or priced too high, until the last one, which was my sister's idea. It's called Brighton Park and it's only about a year old, located on Hwy 78/ Lexington Road in Athens. It's close to pretty much everything, and I'm not too far from my job. It's really easy to find. And she showed me the apartment that I would most likely be moving into instead of the model...saw that one too.
Anyway, It's almost 700 sq. ft for $495 a month with a $300 security deposit and a $25 application fee. It doesn't have any utilities included, other than your basic pest control, lawn care, garbage, maintenance and repair. Luckily, the ulities in that area don't run too high and with my paychecks, I think I can handle it pretty easily. Because of my age and credit history, Dad's going to have to sign some sort of agreement, but he said he would, so that's no big deal. I can rent a washer and dryer, or just buy my own...so I'm thinking Dad will want to take care of that when I tell him. It's in a pretty nice part of town and has a pool and weight room. They said that visitors were fine and there's plenty of parking. And like I said, since it's only a year old, nothing's falling apart yet. There's a diswasher, refrigerator and stove already in the apartment and it's fairly big. Everything's all electric, so I don't have to worry about paying a gas bill either. I can lease it for either 9, 10, or 12 months. I took some pics of the inside, which I'll link to down here at the bottom.
Bedroom: The closet's kinda small, but I have a dresser, so I can live with that.
1 2 Living Room/Dining Area:
3 Bathroom (obviously....):
4 5 Kitchen:
6 7 That's the one I'm looking at. Nothing's certain yet...but hopefully it'll go through.
And that's all for now. Hope everyone is well. Much love. Later.
