Question
I've just started another story and this time, it involves real people...no supernatural. Shocker, I know.
Anyway, my reason for posting is that one of the main characters is actually an emergency dispatcher for her city. I know some of you are employed in a related field, so I was hoping you could give me some key details. I know a little about it, but the story HAS to have her as a dispatcher, so it'd be great if you could just help me out with general duties, their interaction with other branches like law enforcement, EMS, and particularly fire departments. Anything at all you can tell me or any ideas you have would be awesome.
