Oh yeah, and PS: this is what I did to John which totally made my night! Someone has to make sure he knows not every girl worships him....and there is some other stuff in it too(like what Robby said to me on myspace:) ):
Okay, my John story.
So I had this sticker from awhile back that said F***Off on it. It's actually a sticker for a clothing company that a woman I know runs and I had been promoting it for years. I thought it would be funny to give it to John last night, so I took it with me.
I was joking with Mel all night about how I was going to say something to him that made him think I was telling him to F*** Off, I don't really think she believed I was going to do it...BUT!!! when the time came, I jumped on my chance to do what no girl has probably ever done to John Rzeznik: Make him believe she doesn't like him;)
So after being shoved around by freakin' security to get in the picture I stood my ground and didn't let them push me out of the meet and greet until I had said what I wanted to. I gave Robby a story I had written(and posted on here in the spring) when I first heard the title of the new album. Then I walked over to John with the sticker in my hand, looked him square in the eye and said "Hey, I wanted to give this to you because I thought it fit your personality!" ---The look on his face was priceless and he said "Well...THANKS A LOT!" sarcastically.
he kept being really sarcastic so I said "dude, I'm just kidding!" and he said something along the lines of "well then f*** off you very much!" to me and I left laughing because security was pulling on me to leave.
Best moment of my entire life! I would not take it back for the entire universe. However, I do hope he knew I was joking. I honestly don't have a fascination with him like a lot of you do, but I'd never want him to think I HATED him for real! I just thought it was funny.
HOWEVER, I will say I was exceptionally nice to Robby! I told him he was the reason I started playing bass and I gave him a hug...which I don't normally do because I hate hugs.....but security was such a pain in my butt they made me spin around to take the picture before I could even say hi to Mike! so lame!
also, and this just tops it all off for me, I sent Robby a message on myspace because I hadn't had time to really explain the story I had handed to them as well as some other things and he wrote me back this:
you are my hero kiddo
