Freakin College!
I'm on the biggest emotional rollercoaster and I can't get off. It's wierd how your whole outlook on school changes when you're paying for it and it's the next step to your future. I do homework for 6 hours at a time sometimes... It's crazy. I was the lazy kid who did the minimum to get A's and B's in Level 2 classes. If I had applied myself I could have done so much better than I actually did.
I just finished my second week of classes and so far I absolutely love it here. It's seriously everything I could want in a college. There's things to do, always a party, always help with classes, lots of people, overall it's perfect for me. Classes are hard. 18 credits isn't an easy thing to manage, but so far I'm keeping up with the work and still having an awesome time. My roommate is a crazy girl but I love her. She definitely brings out a wilder side of me and I'm totally cool with that, especially on the weekends.
I work about 15 hours a week at the Athletic Center on campus as a Lifeguard...It's probably the best job I could ask for while going to school. I basically get paid to do my homework. I joined the Club soccer team and our first game (s) are tomorrow. We're playing West Chester and Messiah: a double header, I'm super stoked to play a real competative game again... It's amazing how much I missed it.
I'm so happy right now. I don't know what else I'd rather be doing. Learning is hard but it's so freakin worth it. It's nice to get away from everything I knew back home, starting something fresh and striving to do well at it all. It's awesome to be independent and focusing on my future. I feel so grown up but at the same time so new at all of this.
