I guess the last few weeks have been pretty confusing, right?  I still don't really understand everything that was going on yesterday.  And then there was the thing with the costumes.

I think maybe I still owe an apology to the pirates we scared.  I don't know your names, but you're okay now.  Right?

[Takato gives him a small smile.] There are reasons. Lots of them. But I guess what it comes down to is that I can't just walk away from something like this. It isn't right. Even if it is a monster, I've met monsters before that had feelings just like everyone else.

But we'll be okay. I know we don't look like it, but we've had lots of experience protecting ourselves.
