[Takato appears on the screen, slightly out of breath and rumpled.]

Um, hello?

I have kind of a strange question. We got attacked by one of the monsters here, but when we tried to fight we couldn't do anything. I couldn't even use my cards! Has anyone here had the same thing happen?

[Luke saw none of Takato's post on the communicator because he's only just well enough today to make it out of bed and to hallway. But he does see Takato come in the front door, out of breath as though he'd been running. He shivers and pulls the sleeves down on his sweater because everything was still freezing, eyes wide.]

A...are you okay?

[dreamtamer]

[Takato jumps a little at Luke's approach, before turning off the communicator and smiling.]

We're fine. We just got a little surprised. What about you? Are you feeling any better?

[luke_triton]

Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you..

[He leans against the wall, because he'd never admit that he still felt wobbly on his feet.]

I feel a lot better than I did before, but not all the way better..

[dreamtamer]

Don't worry about that. I do that a lot.

That's good. I mean, it isn't good that you're still feeling a little sick. But at least it's better than it was before.

Does Takato have Guilmon with him and like next to him ;-;

I can walk now!

[He beams. Falling flat on his face the first time he tried to get out of bed was something he was happy to not repeat.]

Yeah. I haven't felt that sick since I was little.

Probably. They're never very far apart.

That's something! We should do something to celebrate your feeling better.

[Do something? All Luke really wanted to do at the moment was revel in his ability to stay upright and maybe talk to someone. He rubs his ears with a shiver, blinking.]

Um...m-maybe we can just...stay here? And then we can do something later.

[dreamtamer]

Not right now of course. When you're completely over it. Being sick is awful.

[luke_triton]

[He nods, relieved.]

That's a good idea.

[After a moment, he smiles as Guilmon.] I r-remember you both. I know..you don't remember. People go home sometimes and come back not remembering ever being here. That happened to me too..

So I know it's not fun..

It's a little confusing, but I don't mind. It's like making lots of new friends in a dream that you forget. But when you wake up they're still friends.

[luke_triton]

Everyone's a lot nicer when they don't have to meet you again... S-so that's good, right?

[dreamtamer]

I think everyone I've met so far is nice.

[luke_triton]

[You met Clive, didn't you? He's definitely not nice.]

That's good.

It's nice to see Guilmon again t-too! I wonder if Claire would remember him?

But she's not here, so I can't ask her anyway.

[dreamtamer]

[You mean the guy that came to find him when they arrived and is letting them stay with him? Takato still hasn't asked why he was wearing broken handcuffs when they met.]

[Clive's presence in Discedo, with Flora living with him too may or may not cause Luke to develop a stress ulcer. Or potentially a nervous twitch. Probably better not to ask why Clive had broken handcuffs on. You probably shouldn't ask Luke, either, because he will rant at you about how evil Clive is.]

My c-cat. Claire. She's very friendly, but she's in D-Dissimulo with the Professor and Mr. Meryl and Miss Amu.
