(no subject)
Yesterday we had an all day agency meeting (they call it Agency Day). The agency is closed for the day and they hold the meeting off site. The have it catered for breakfast and lunch and it's supposed to be a fun day of learning. etc. The topics this time were confidentiality, compliance, diversity, cultural competence, and something else that I can't remember right now. Anyway, I won the diversity game (heh) which means I received a $20 gift card to Walmart! I never win anything, so I was very excited.
After work, I picked up my mom and we went to Walmart to spend the card. I wanted to get stuff for the garden/yard. Let me just say that I *love* my mother to pieces, but she can be so difficult at times. She's very opinionated. Anyway, I got some petunias for the garden (this time in a deep red), and several different assorted flowers for different areas of the yard. Then, I spent a few hours outside tying up the dead bushes we cut down over the week-end. You have to tie them in little bunches or the garbage people won't pick them up. That was maddening and back-breaking work. My little babies from next door came over and chatted with me through it. How cute is it that they sat in my drive way, eating dipping sticks while keeping me company. I'm going to try and get the rest of the shrubs tied up this afternoon so that I can rake everything up and start planting. I really want everything to look nice before my sister gets here on the 9th.
I need to get dressed and head to the gym. I'm seeing two clients today and then I have the entire week's paperwork to do this afternoon. I really want to get finished early- I have such spring fever. :)
