Thank god for insurance
So, for the past 3 or so months, I have had what feels like a lump in my throat. It makes it really hard to swallow and lately, it has been worse. Whenenver I eat, which is not often, if I burp after I eat, undigested food comes up and I basicaly urp. When I take my pills, I can feel them stuck in my throat and I can feel them burning. It wasn't so bad a few months ago, but it has gotten progressively worse. I did go and see my internist about it and he thought that it could be something to do with my digestive system, so he put me on Prevacid to see if that would help. It didn't. So it has been getting worse, now my chest is all tight and I am having difficulties breathing. My hair is still falling out and I am still sufferring from chronic diahhrea. YAY! So, my internist refered me to a gastro doc, who is having me get a barium swallow x-ray and then he is going to do an endoscopy of my throat to make sure I don't have cancer or any other little beasty. I am going to have an ultrasound tomorrow, as well, so they can see if there is anything going on with my gallbladder. They are also doing a lot of blood work. This whole thing is going to be loads of FUN! I am trying to stay upbeat about it, but I am such a hypochondriac that I think everything is cancer. Bleah. Yeah, so the ultrasound and x-ray are both scheduled for tomorrow, which means I will be going without food or water for 12+ Hours.
Oh, and I have quit smoking. I haven't had a smoke in a week. For non-smokers, that might not seem like a lot, but for those of you who currently smoke or have quit, a week without smoking without the aid of any patches or medications is pretty good. I trying to fight this addiction with my sheer stubborness, and so far, it is working. FUCK YOU CIGARETTES!! EVEN THOUGH I CRAVE YOU EVERY WAKING MOMENT AND WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO RUN OUTSIDE, BUM A SMOKE OFF SOMETHING AND INHALE THE DEADLY FUMES UNTIL I AM HAPPY AGAIN!!
I am so happy today is my Friday, although I am sure I will be back her tomorrow to pick up my paycheck at Brandon's insistance. I really need to get direct deposit.
