[The PokéGear clicks on, albeit unintentionally. Hanging from the owner's hip, all that the screen captures at its odd angle are the back of a Porygon and someone's side. Said owner hums to herself, and at a second glance, one might notice that she's perched atop Poly the Porygon's back. It's roughly a good three feet shorter than her, but she's light enough that the pokémon isn't protesting.
The PokéGear rattles as she raises a hand to point ahead, shouting:]
Blast off!
[Poly floats along, gradually gaining in speed (not that it's easy to tell when the screen is filled with Pascal's cyan shirt and Poly's pink body) until it starts to gain too much velocity and . . . suddenly swerves to the side. Way off course.]
W-whoa -- !?
[There's a loud crashing noise when Poly collides into a tree, followed by Pascal as she's flung forward with a loud cry. The PokéGear loosens and falls from her side; as it spins in the air, it captures Pascal's look of sheer surprise seconds before her face meets nature. The device lands face-up and continues to record while Pascal falls to the ground with an ungraceful "thud." She flops over, but before she can do anything else, a Pineco promptly drops from the branches and lands in her arms. She blinks.]
. . . hmm . . . ?
[In response, the Pineco explodes in her face. Smoke, it is everywhere around the tiny perimeters of a tree at the edge of Violet City.]
