In Jerusalem

After a great relaxing weekend with Israeli jets flying over head and news of missiles moving south, I decided it was time to go. I got offered a ride to Jerusalem and thought, what the hey. My plan was to go to Tel Aviv, but J-town seems safer now. Not much else to report. Most people act like nothing is going on, but you can feel it. Its not like the "brink of war" because Lebanon doesn't really have much of an army, but there are a million ways things could escalate.

My fear is that the world (and Israel) will treat it as if they are at war with "all Arabs". Everyone here treats it like that. Lebanese Hezbollah, Palestinian Hamas, what's the difference, they're all Arabs. And, with the attacks in Beirut, no one has seemed to notice the ongoing attacks in Gaza, the death count rising. One things for sure. Palestinian blood doesn't have a good exchange rate.
