homeward bound!
i've spent the last three days roasting in vegas, after spending 5 hours in the airport on thursday due to orange-alert, and weather in denver. this is the longest i've been separated from my home since we moved there in february. in fact...i don't even know if i've slept even one night anywhere else since moving there. i can't recall doing so. i don't feel as tragically separated as i expected myself to (i do this every time i travel anywhere...) but it was still awkward leaving home in the state that things were in.
life has been very...life-ish lately. just as soon as was losing appreciation for the (formerly somewhat pleasant) monotony, every bit of shit lurking about in dark and nearly forgotten corners decided to all hit the fan in one go. hard to deal with at the time, although in the long run, i think we're all better off. i'd like to think i appreciate more now; partially because of it, and partially in spite.
