Author's Note: As always, this is for Rebecca. She's the one who originally got me into BBT, so you can all blame her. So, this is for you, bb! :*

You ask him softly Can I borrow that? when he sits next to you after his turn in Wii Bowling. He gives you that look of his, like, how dare you bother him on Wii Bowling night even though it’s no longer his turn and it’s not like he’ll get over an eighty anyway. But then he nods and you smile in thanks before grabbing the pad of paper that he uses to keep score. Because, obviously, the score keeper on the Wii isn’t efficient enough.

So, you grab the pad and rip a sheet of paper from it and from the corner of your eye you see him flinch. You know he’ll spend the time between his next turns picking out the little bits of paper left over and piling them up at the edge of the table.

You grab the extra pencil next to the three other extras he has and start writing. He doesn’t bother asking you what you’re writing, but you can see him watching you in between keeping score. You spend the rest of the game writing, looking up when Leonard cheers about hitting more than three pins that one time and ignoring Howard when he’s being…Howard.

You write until Raj takes his last turn and then throw down the pencil, trying not to be offended when he automatically reaches for it and sets it parallel to the other pencils. You fold your paper and say goodbye to the boys and he stands to walk you to the door. He ends up following you to your door even though it’s only eleven steps doorway to doorway (eight if you’re him because his legs are so much longer), mumbling the whole way about high crime rates and the statistics of hallway robberies.

Your paper is folded and it’s easy to slip it into his hand as you open the door. He flinches because you did touch his hand and you know how he doesn’t like touching. You say goodnight and slip into your apartment, leaning against the door on the other side. You hear nothing but silence on the other side and a quick look through the peephole shows him still just…standing there. You smile because you don’t know if it’s because of the note in his hand or the fact that he hasn’t heard you bolt the locks yet. You know he won’t leave until he at least hears the chain in the door, so you quickly latch it, still watching him through the tiny hole in the door.

You watch him start at the sound of the chain and have to stifle your chuckle. He stares at the closed door and for a moment you wonder if he knows you’re still standing there, watching him. He looks from the door to the paper in his hand and you hope he doesn’t read it right there because that would be beyond embarrassing, but at the same time you kind of hope he does because you have a front row seat to his reaction.

You hear him unfold the paper before you see him do it and flush rises to your cheeks. Which is ridiculous because, hello, he can’t see you. You watch his bright blue eyes scan the paper and you wonder if he’s really reading it, or skimming it, or maybe he really does read that fast. Whatever the case is, he’s finished it before you can react and is staring at the door again. Only this time he’s staring at the peephole and you're sure that he knows your there. So you duck down like he can see through the hole and into your face and that godforsaken blush is back and you hope he didn’t hear your head thump against the door on your way down.

You wait less than a minute before popping back up. It’s too hard to go longer when you’re desperate to see his reaction. You resume your position at the door, but you're surprised to see that he’s on the opposite side of the hallway, hand already on the knob to his apartment.

And then you smile because he’s standing as tall as ever and staring at your door again, this time with a grin on his face.
