The Magic Line

Some of you may know that there is a brown line on part of I-80. It gets on the freeway at Dry Creek and gets off at Meadow Vista. It's been there for a couple days. I assume there was something dragging behind someone's car making the line... Anyway, it's a rather curious line.

As I was on my way back up to Weimar, I decided to follow the line and see where it goes. Afterall, I didn't have anything better to do. Unfortunately my adventure was very short... The line just gets back on the freeway going back towards Auburn. I didn't want to get back on the freeway so I decided to stroll through Meadow Vista.

Once I got there, I figured I'd go see if Andrea was home, since I was in town.

I drove up, saw her car in the driveway, and then saw her. She was giving me a very funny look (because apparently she didn't recognize my car) but then she was happy to see me. She said she was looking for her cat's latest batch of kittens, so I helped her.

I ended up finding them, so she and her mom said that I could have one if I want. This is really awesome, because one of them is white, and my mom said I'd only be able to get a kitten if it matched our carpeting (white). Sweet.

So in a couple of weeks I'll have a little white fuzzball. =)

I hope it's not deaf.

Anyway, that's one reason I think the line is magical. It brought me to a white kitten.

The next reason is that apparently Andrea is moving tomorrow, so if I had stopped by any later than today she wouldn't be there. She's moving up to Dutch Flat.

Third reason: If I hadn't stopped by, I wouldn't have been invited to the party thing she's having in August. Which is supposed to be partly for me... It's going to be a multi-purpose party. For everyone going away to college, and for the birthday kids. Yay.

All praise the magic line. It brightened up my day significantly. =)
