(no subject)
The personal strength discovered in the self seems to be acting as a magnet. Everywhere I go lately, it seems. Most recently, it drew a director of a Greek play at CoHo Theatre to comp me to his play and begin discussing collaborative movements.
It's not that I don't like plays, I've remembered, just certain ones. I find directors to be like minds, creative visionaries using many pieces to make real their dream. Actors and actresses I still see as but tools, much like the instruments a musician uses. Vital to the creation, but without the creator... somewhat useless. Pull the strings....
I've got a couple of beautiful movers committed to dancing in a future video... perhaps this last one I've about finished? (coming soon, classical/waltz ish piano morphing to electronic pulse with death metal/klingon growls of Irish folk wisdom read in German). Nahh, think I'll wait as the Man Li concept comes to fruition. The live, more dancey stuff I've been working on lately that is coming along splendidly. Ideally, shows at the beginning of the year. More likely, though, late spring. With an additional live guitarist to organic-ize it up a bit more, it also seems, as collaboration is working well thus far.
Meantime, off to San Francisco.
