candidates waiting room ---- 2 hours before exam starts

Liron swung his legs back and forth from the crate like box he sat on. His dirty blond hair bounced back and forth as his eyes darted to each candidate. As for himself he was sure of his ablities to become a hunter, but wasn't so sure about some of the other people here

Eneri leaned against the wall and watched the people in the room flex their muscles and try to look burly. She almost scoffed at them; the only people that actually looked like they had a chance were the ones that were sitting around concentrating, it was interesting. She shivered as the air blasted in the room once again.

After his finished his thought, blue eyes darted around the room again. There wasn't really many people his own age; in truth Liron thought he was the only one here that was 12 years old. Liron jumped off his crate for a moment and began to wander around again careful not to upset anyone by bumping into them or stepping on their feet.

Her eyes faltered on a boy as he jumped off a crate, he seemed rather fit for a little boy. If she were to stand up, he would be slightly, barely tall her than her. She bit her thumb a horrible habit she picked up when she was on a mission watching a younger girl as well.
"I thought i would be the youngest one here...I wonder how old he is..."
She mumbled to herself and watched him with orange eyes.

Liron wandered through the masses of people, until he bumped into a rather large and over weight fellow.

"Oh... sorry about that..." He gave out a nervous laugh. The guy Liron bumped into glared down at the boy and looked ready to pound him into dust. "umm... Hi.... I think... I will be going now...." Slowly he inched away from the much larger and seemingly stronger male candidate.

She covered her mouth as a small grin appeared on her face.
This guy had to be an idiot... Or just not used to crowds. She began to analyze the fat, burleier ones and they didnt seem that strong at all. One of them spotted her looking and gave her a suggesting look; Eneri glared at him and looked away a disgusted look on her face.

When their attention turned to Eneri, that was when Liron tried to make his escape and failed horribly at it. The one Liron had bumped into before grabbed him by the upper arm and yoinked him back.

"Hey I said I was sorry! let go!"

"I don't think you meant it boy, plus what is a shrimp like you doing here? This is a hunters exam not some play ground boy. You should go before you get hurt to badly, or die by accident." The large man hissed down at Liron.

"I can do what I want!" Liron yelled back up at him, "your not my father so you can't tell me what to do!" With that said, the young candidate moved to kick the fat one in the shins.

Her eyes grew wide as kicked them.
Oh my god... Are you joking me? You dont go up to a pack of lions with meat around your neck screaming eat me! Eat me!!! She stood up and began to walk over to the group and quickly pushed herself between the two before anything started. She looked at the older man and gave him a smile.

"Sorry, my uh.... friend here didnt know who you were; can you forgive him?"

The fat man and his groupies glared down at them for a moment. "only trying to do him some good, and you might want to take the advice as well. This isn't a place for kids." After he said that, the group left to wait for the exam to start, but tension was still heavy in the air.

Liron just blinked a few times. The events replied themselves in his head again and again until they made any sense. "Umm....." He glanced at the girl. "... thank you...?"

She continued to glare at the men until the left, a sour taste in her mouth.
She looked up at the boy and gave herself a pat on the back. She was right, he was about two inches taller than herself.

"Your welcome. "

Her response was quick and blunt without much camaraderie and she mentally smacked herself for it; she was here to make friends not brush someone off.

"I...I'm guessing you dont really know how to hang around crowds do you?"

He shaked his head back and forth in a 'no' response. "not really.... do you?" Liron looked at her for a moment before he broke out into a grin. "say how old are you? I am 12 going to be 13 in a few months."

"Well, not really i guess..."
She shrugged and watched him as he smiled happily, innocently and felt a warm aura towards him.
"I just turned twelve."
She eyed him suspiciously.
"Why do you ask?"

He shuffled his feet some and kicked the non exsistant pebble on the ground. "Oh... because well... there are no other kids here... at all. I mean there are alot of adults but I guess thats a given." Liron nodded to himself.

She gave him a smile.
"Are you nervous?"
She watched him as he continued to shuffle and her eyes grew a little larger.
"This isnt your first time being alone in a big place is it?"

His cheeks turn a pink-ish shade, "... No... well... yes.. I mean... normaly I was with my father.... in jungles and such... but first time in a city... alone anyways.... is... that strange?" Liron looked at the girl.

"Y...You mean, you've never been in the city before?"
She looked at him in awe but quickly covered it with her nonchalant look.
"Jungles? What were you doing in the jungle? And why not the City?"

"Oh... thats where I used to live! My father is a hunter and for his job we go to remote areas of the world to find new plants and animals. So... I never really had a chance to go to a city until I turned 12 that is!" Liron thrusted his fist up into the air some.

"Then father said I could become a hunter like him, so... well here I am... oh I almost forgot! My name is Liron Asgraud its a pleasure to meet you!" This was the second time he said this, hopefully he would get a better reaction.
