(no subject)
So I haven't updated in awhile, I know. Lots to say but too lazy, so I'll say as much as I can as fast as I can.
New Orleans was not only productive but very fun. I made friends with people I've worked with for a year but never talked to, also with some people in other stores in austin, and one guy actually from New Orleans. The group I hung with all decided we'd work overnight and wanted as many hours as possible, so we ended up working 15 hour nights. We didn't have a lot of time to do anything other than eat and sleep between work hours. The last day we all went out before work and got a little drunk. I know it's not like me to drink but I did and because I never do, I ended up shit faced. It was fun but sucked as well. I enjoyed being away from Austin so much, it makes me think seriously of traveling more. Oh man, when I got my paycheck from the trip I almost went into shock. I made $1500 just for the trip, that's almost three of my usual paychecks! It was awesome. Unfortunately, money goes very fast when you have debts. I did splurge and get myself a really nice digital camera.
I don't know if I ever mentioned this but my brother and Amber were expecting a child... but that was about 9 or so months ago because the little boy was born on Tuesday. I can't wait to see the little booger. My bro cried when it was born and said it was 'just beautiful'. They have an apartment in Katy now.
Work has been hell... it is so freakin busy. I wish there was a button I could push so that when I was being trampled by the crowd of mad shoppers it would just zap them all away. Damn people and their damn last minute shopping. Everyone and there mom has called or came in and asked about ipods or 360's. I enjoy telling them we don't have any. My b/f bought a 360 (I tipped him that we got some in the night before) and I played it today... freakin awesome.
Heh, one of my co-workers invited me to a little gamer shin-dig on christmas. He didn't have anything to do for christmas and neither did a few other people. I know it's sad, but I've been here for two years and I still don't have friends I hang out with outside of my roomies. Maybe I'll actually make some real friends. I'm so horrible at socializing... poo.
