post thanksgiving...
this thanksgiving was another good year. i was able to talk to my mom who had to work during the day, and was spending thanksgiving dinner at one of kapolei's finest resturants. way better than cooking all day. i wished i was there, i haven't spent thanksgiving with them in years or the holidays. 4 years to be exact. this time of the year i get the most homesick. i miss lumpia as an appetizer.
so the usually thanksgiving crowed is don's parents, his sister and his brother in laws, and his bro in laws parents. this year our roomate's brother was over (since their mom relocated to atlanta, and father past away many years ago, don's family was really like family. also, don's half sister from montana, who now lives in wanachee, wa (eastern WA) was over for thanksgiving. i started this thing years ago, everyone says one thing they are thankful for, and don's bro-in-law who i really don't like, had his as, "thankful for the year we don't have to say what we are thankful for." i swear he's the number one ass hole in the world. isn't thanksgiving is the night we ponder what we should be thankful for. that night should be a little meaningful. otherwise, it makes me sad.
so last night before bed i thought of my what i'm thankful for list:
1. my grandfather no longer suffering
2. finally getting into a program
3. being able to see family and friends in hawaii for 3 weeks
4. buster
5. don and his parents who easily welcomed me into their family and has been soo good to me.
6. our home
7. good health
8. loving friends and family
9. snow in the mountains
10. my mom always being there for me
11. new beginnings...
earlier my roomate's girlfriend asked me to go shopping with her. i hate shopping the day after thanksgiving. too much madness. and shopping with her would be worst that poking out my retinas. i haven't stopped hating her, but she doesn't bother me as much, before she was even more irrating than finger nails on chalkboard. now i just feel sorry for her. my roomate bought me a new camera, so that helped also.
so only a week and a half left of school. thank god.
i hope everyone had an awesome thanksgiving filled with good food and booze.
