Busy, busy, busy!

So...life has been busy for me lately. I went to work Wednesday and left for San Antonio at about 8:30 or 9. I ended up driving because my boss drove his truck to work and 1) I get better gas mileage; 2) we were carrying equipment and I didn't want to have to worry about keeping it secure since it's worth more than my annual salary. No big deal...plus I get about $200 in mileage for about 1/8th of that in gas.

We grabbed some lunch at a Chili's in Seguin and got to our office on the East side of San Antonio soon after that. We worked for the rest of the day, and then decided to call it a night at about 6:30 or 7. We headed to the hotel and grabbed some dinner at a little Mexican restaurant on the way to the hotel. After that, it was on to the hotel and our respective rooms for some much needed rest. I talked with Brian for a little while and was in bed by 9.

I got up at 6:30 Thursday morning and met James downstairs at 8. We got some breakfast at Denny's on the way back to the office. We worked some more until about 12:15 when we headed back to Houston. We stopped at one of our offices on the way back from San Antonio to do something for them really quick. From there, it was back to the office and then home.

I actually got home early enough on Thursday to cook a quick dinner before I went to class. I ate & headed to class, which was short. Since I got out early, I decided to go to Wal-Mart and get a case for my drawing supplies so that I could quit using that crappy plastic zipper bag that I got with the drafting kit. I am totally stoked about this new case! (Yes...I know, I know...I'm a freak.)

It's really nifty and it's got everything I could have hoped for. It's actually a cosmetics case, but it will get the job done.

I got to bed late, because I decided to go ahead and do my homework first...so getting up yesterday was no fun. I worked all day yesterday and I was so tired that I was in bed by 8:15. Good news about work, though...our new guy is doing pretty well. He had 2 1/2 days to spend working on his Microsoft Office training, and it has done him a lot of good.

I haven't done much except for a little laundry so far today. I've been kind of a slug, but I have been at least a little productive. My lettering assignment is due Tuesday, so I'll let you know how that goes. I tried something new and did the first half of the assignment "freehand" (not using a straight edge). I'm going to see what my professor thinks. I am totally prepared not to get a "check plus" on this assignment, but that's alright. If I do get one, that's gravy!

I'll keep you updated!
