Books 2012 update:
#50:
A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison
This is the latest Rachel Morgan urban fantasy book. Yes, I know I had said I had given up on most of the urban fantasy series but I found this one at the library. It was good. I still like the characters and her world. In this one Rachel and cohorts are trying to solve a series of murders that everyone else thinks Rachel might have done. It's a quick and fun read.
#51:
Keeping it Real by Justina Robson
I also picked this one up at the library. It looked and sounded like it would be a cool mix of magic and technology. Turns out this one wasn't quite for me.
#52:
The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter
This is a collection of dark and twisted fairy tales. Most of them are very recognizable - Puss in Boots, Bluebeard, Beauty and the Beast, etc. They all have a really dark and gruesome spin on them. I really enjoyed the collection. It's a short book and full of wonder.
