Feeling sorta nostalgic lately, maybe some regrets, I'm sure the French have a word for it. Perhaps it's my allergies, worse this spring than usual, or the continual confusion at work, where applying "process change" to a 1200- person IT department is like trying to pack a live elephant backwards into a morris mini. Of course, a month of teeth work and associated pain hasn't helped- I was anticipating spending the summer in the dentist's office until my insurance ran out. Now I must wait to finish the teeth work til next year, and hope nothing major needs attention before then. Ah, nostalgia- we were so poor when I was young that my dad would take us to the local dental school to let the students practice on us so that we could get some free dental care. And it's some of those fillings that have come out now, necessitating my new dental adventures. See how it all connects?
Brighter notes:
heartspunmom,
6ick and family visited last weekend, and we had a great time taking the grandkids to the Sacto Train Museum in Old Sac. Joined by
djinrain and Grampa Doug, we rode the excursion train along the river, ate lunch at Fat City. Good day for ducks.
I always enjoy going with
djinrain to the Whole Earth Festival in Davis to celebrate mother's day. The weather ought to be splendid.
