catching up...
have had nose super-glued to the new project grindstone, thus not much communication. "working twice as hard for 10% less pay" = yay. being the only client resource in a nest of vendor developers, i am reminded constantly of why i wanted to STOP being a consultant.
daughter #1 has been having health issues, aggravated no doubt by the stress of having her husband temporarily (we hope) jobless. haven't they been through this before?
daughter #2 i haven't heard much from lately- hope all is well with her & her hubbie. the economy hasn't been kind to them either.
my beloved spouse is also beset: his brother just wound up in the hospital with a stroke that paralyzed his left side. we went down to kaiser vallejo, where he is in the stroke recovery unit, to visit last sunday, and are planning to go again this coming sunday.
but! it's stopped raining for now, and the sun is out & i will go for a long walk down by the river tomorrow. obladee, obladah.
