Coast to Coast to Coast in a Day and a Half

I'm done with my interviews.  That was fun.  I met with eight different people, one at a time, in one day, for 30 to 45 minutes each.  I'm confident that I won't get it, which is ok.  One of the people (there were only three of us) that interviewed was hand picked by the person vacating the position.  I know him, and I think he would be a good choice.  I don't have any idea how his interviews went, although I'm sure he did fine.  I did fine also.  I was very relaxed going in, knowing that I had little chance of getting the job.  My main motivation was to get my name out there as someone to consider for future opportunities, and to get some exposure to some of the higher-ups.  My interviews were more about that than showing why I would be a good candidate for this position.  It was an interesting trip though, short as it was.  When I left, it was 82 degrees.  Dressed in a suit, outside in 82 degree weather, I honestly believed the temperature was in the high 60's.  That's how much of a difference the dry, still air out there makes.  Of course, when we were on approach back to Charlotte, the captain announced it was a brisk 22 degrees, which felt like 22 degrees.
