My God I missed alot of LJ in the last 2 days.
I really haven't been gone that long.
So yeah. I'm going to CMU and stuff.
Yesterday I checked into my room in the Towers, then walked around the campus looking for food. Got some Arby's, and ate.
Yes. I then went to the Music Building (which rocks, btw), and waited around for my choral auditions. Got into Concert Choir, even with a bad voice. Go me! Judge guy said he was impressed with how much I knew, and asked me how long I had been taking voice lessons. Was weird when I told him that I haven't taken voice lessons, only 2.5 years of choir. He just sorta looked at me for a second. I got through the sightreading better than at State last year, but it was still rough. Again, though, he was impressed that I was working with fixed sol feg and what I did for the rhythmic dictation. It was cooler than I expected, really easy going.
Back to the Towers, met some of the other music geeks who were staying the night. Went out for ice cream, was cool.
Get up this morning, check out, go get breakfast of with some of those same music geeks, come back for orientation. Most of it was just weird and creepy-perky. Useful stuff, though. Got my schedule for the fall semester, and the damned College of Fine Arts started calling my name again. But not until next year, I need to audition for the program. *grr*
I have:
Intermediate Algebra
Intro to Philosophy
General Biology
Fundamental Interpretive Reading (actually a type of theatre class)
Buddhist Tradition (I need to make sure that i don't fall into too many electives like this)
Concert Choir
It's all very cool, mainly because I won't have to take more math after this class, and only one more science type class. There are only a few required classes, actually. They leave most of your time open for your major, which is cool. I'll need it.
Rock to college. I can't wait.
