(no subject)
I know that I already updated today, but I forgot to write about something on here and so I'm updating now.
On Monday, my sister called my mom and told her that she wanted to move away and live with my dad in Oklahoma. Apparently, she has decided this because her friends down there want her to stay and because she can go to school with them. She has no friends in Avon right now, and she doesn't want to lose the ones she has.
Jasmine has always loved my father, has defended his every action with love and understanding while I walk away in disgust at some of the things he's done. It's not surprising she would want to go live with him, I'm sure he was even prepared to help convince her to stay. Not to long ago, a list was found in his house of reasons that I should live with him instead of my mother. Things such as to get away from my three siblings and my stepdad, which is ludicrous. No doubt though that he said such similar things, especially since Jasmine has never liked Sean. My dad bribes my sister. While she's been down there she's acquired an entire new bed set, painted her room, a new stereo and Melissa, my stepmom, has taken her shopping whenever they have time off.
The lack of rules while we're down there is a factor in her mind I'm sure. She's in the mental state that all rules are made to shut down her life and that we are out to get her. She gets in trouble for her grades, her assignments that she never turns in, and then blames Sean for being unfair. She finds restrictions above her and at my dads house we hardly have any. She doesn't understand that if she lives there she will have rules, chores, and it will probably not be much different than here. Nonetheless, my dad has convinced her to move down there and she has until August 5th to make it official. She's coming back on the 12th as planned, but it's going to be a very long 3 weeks.
