So I'm working at the Wire in Portsmouth. Its a weekly newspaper/magazine. I'm definetly getting a lot of experience (two cover stories and three other stories already). Its challanging but that's what gets me the experience. The no money thing sucks, however. I work 9-1 tuesday-thursday... But thats not it. I have to go out and cover stories which I knew from the beignning because that's what a writer does but I lately I've been going to rollinsford (an hour from my house) at least twice a week to get information for a story. While it's interesting and I've met cool people, thats a lot of gas and a lot of extra time and stress. It's basically turned into 5 days a week. Which owuld be fine if I was getting paid. Can't put a price on experience though I guess.
I'm also interning at the tribune. Technically it's an unpaid internship but I'm getting a scholarship for $1000. Which sounds like a lot but when that has to last you the whole summer and pay for gas to go and cover stories like the Rollinsford one, and also pay for books at the begining of the summer.
I've been working my ass off at the two jobs and I still have no money.... Its very frustrating. The only things I've bought myself this summer were a pair of kahki capri's for work, a dress for Rachels wedding (because it was on clearance for $18) and the occasional drink. It sucks working so much and not being able to enjoy your summer or buy yourself a shirt or a few drinks, or something that you want. I'm planning on working at the rec center when school starts and possibly another job around lowell, so that will help but who knows.
Hopefully after next spring I'll get a real job and things will be better.

On a happier note I went kayaking yesterday. My mom had given my a gift certificate for my birthday. Ben went with me and it was so much fun.

I guess that's it for now

I want an apartment more than anything but I dont have the money so I'm going to have to be patient and wait a year.
