There are things visible to naked eyes yet also blurred by the darkness of confusion. People who don’t have the power to see those mentioned things, are pitifully blinded by reality and its effects. But then one day, when pain comes to an end and feelings take over, they will for sure realize the mere existence of which they obliviously ignored.

Kame stands on a busy street, eyes blankly move from the huge clothing apartment to the small ramen shop. His thoughts wander from questions to questions… How can such different things, such different distinguished people be living in the same planet, at the same time? Kame keeps staring at people around him. In this fair industrial city, Tokyo, there are people, people who are always busy working, busy thinking and more working. There is not enough space in their life to just lay back for a little while and enjoy what is there for them.

He blinks. Well, at least they’re working for a purpose. He blinks again, and water is starting the fall. He looks up incidentally and finds out that it starts raining all of the sudden. His eyes twitch. He doesn’t understand… He knows so well he did check the weather forecast yesterday. And it said nothing about raining in Tokyo. Oh, and he even wrote what the weather forecast said in his handbook. Clumsily, he let down his small backpack to try and confirm.

But Kame stops dead. He has forgotten everything about why he is here alone, why he wrote down the speech from the weather forecast and why he is suddenly feeling so sentimental.

It all strikes him as he lets go of his backpack halfheartedly. Now he remembers. And remembering makes it more painful than anything. Kame closes his eyes to somehow surpass the pain stirring in his mind, trying to visualize a person. Kame knows to well who that is, and it’s completely certain that the person knows him too, as that person is smiling to Kame. Kame calls out softly as something dampens his sleeves.

Reality calls without caring. And Kame knows the truth. He lets the raindrops dampen his clothes, just as they dampen his soul. Water everywhere, his hair, and face, and neck… Soaked completely his body is. But Kame can’t care less about himself now.

The rain might have cause his brain to work incorrectly because Kame speaks as if there was a person in front of him, looking at him and listening to what he wants to share.

“Jin… You could have…”

Kame feels the coldness, but in his heart and his body. He shivers as a sinister wind blows right through him, breaking his hope and his thoughts. Once again, his mind goes blank. Kame shivers… ‘What is going to happen from now on?’

“Kame! What the heck are you thinking?”

Don’t be mistaken that Kame has gone home. His head is still filled with nothingness, his thoughts cannot be tracked and also, where is home?

But his name was called, wasn’t it? And Kame is not that much of an idiot to not understand standard Japanese. He turned to meet a pair of eyes glaring at him angrily.

Why did Kame turn back is a big question. Kame doesn’t want to be found, he wants to stay hidden, that’s why he doesn’t go home. He needs shelter, but knows no shelters. Standing in this rain, waiting for someone, his eyes flutter open as someone called his name. But the rain makes the voice more or less inaudible to him, so he isn’t able to recognize who has spoken. And also, he is expecting something… a miracle or what?

“Ji… Takizawa-san?”

Kame’s eyes blink for like… the one hundredth time today. The last person he predicted would come for him. Yes, Kame was waiting for someone else. But it doesn’t matter anymore because he knows… that there is no hope whatsoever.

“You idiot! What are you standing in the rain for? Trying to get a cold?”

Kame follows as Tackey, the famous Tackey from Tackey and Tsubasa, pushed him in a car. He feels like he’s floating, above everything, flying freely in the sky. Kame closes his eyes. ‘Get me out of here…’

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

The car stops as Takizawa leads Kame out of it and into his apartment. And our poor Kame follows blindly. His body lets go, but his mind doesn’t. That’s why he’s still lost in dream world.

“Kame… please help yourself. Take it easy okay?”
And before Tackey leaves the room, he doesn’t forget to tell Kame to do a very important thing, a significant action that revolves around himself.

“Get your thoughts together okay?”

Kame sits down on the soft leather sofa. ‘Get my thought together?’ Kame has never heard of such lame but so right thing. It’s lame because our thoughts cannot fall out of our head. It can only be in our mind, therefore when a person is thinking, they’re not trying to know what is going on. But it’s also right because in Kame’s particular, and should I say, peculiar situation, his thoughts literally fall out of the working part of his brain, since he has been spacing out so much. And so, after all those thinking to explain what Takizawa-san said, Kame much wants to get his thoughts together.

But he has no clue where to start. Kame closes his eyes as he lets his soul drifts through the barrier of time, and returns to where the shadow of the past lies.

Jin was standing there, in the big practice room that obviously belonged to KAT-TUN. Kame scanned the room as Jin stood up, looking as if he was going to announce something big. Everyone noticed, but no one directed their attention to Jin, because they all thought it would be something stupid. Or maybe because Jin was always making jokes, lame not-so-funny jokes, in order to make himself look like a dork. And strangely, he was very successful in that typical area.

Jin waved as no one except Kame stared up at him. He cleared his throat and then looked at everyone resolutely.

“I’m leaving for America.”

Even with the resolute look, Jin couldn’t make it serious. Kame chuckled.

“Not a good one Jin… really. You should try something else. Like last week, you know, the one about the chicken and KAT-TUN. That one was somewhat close to being slightly funny…”

“No Kame-chan… I wasn’t at all joking.”

The rest of KAT-TUN stared at Jin, now they were surprised. What did Jin say again?

But before Jin was given the rare opportunity to get more sentimental, T-TUN bursted out with laughters.

“What was that?”
“Good one Jin… good one. You almost got me there…”
“Even Kame was tricked… It must be the power of……”

Koki couldn’t finished his sentence as Jin got a little angry and yelled.

“I WASN’T KIDDING!”

The laughters died off completely as the room was now filled with surprise gasp and stares. Kame stood up, with his eyes wide open.

“What are you saying Jin? Was it another joke? Stop kidding Jin! Stop being stupid Bakanishi!!”

Kame grabbed Jin’s collar and shook with all he could. Jin looked at the floor, with his long hair covering his eyes. Not a single person in that room could tell what Jin was thinking. But it was all certain… that he was telling the truth.

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

Kame shakes his head… What happened next? Jin left the room as Kame broke down the the floor and the other four members went looking for Kitagawa-san to find a clear answer.
And then… Jin actually…

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

Kame looked around, he was standing at the airport. Kame’s heart ached as he realized Jin was leaving today, and that they would part in this so-called airport. Nervously, Kame adjusted the sunglasses he was wearing. It was part of his disguise. But since Jin’s departure was announced on the last talk show, fans were packed in this airport. So there was no point in hiding. But Kame refused to take off his sunglasses. They didn’t shelter him from the fans, those glasses were hiding him from his friends… Kame wanted no one to see his eyes, which were completely dried out. Why you may ask… Because Kame had been crying all the time last night. Everytime he thought about how Jin was leaving Japan, leaving KAT-TUN and leaving him, tears just kept falling out. And Kame himself knew so well that the moment Jin went out of his sight, tears would uncontrollably fall without asking, and that something special would come to an end.

Jin was standing there, smiling to the fans and signing autographs. The rest of KAT-TUN were busy discussing whatever they wanted to talk about, leaving Kame standing in the hollow hallway where fans were not allowed to come in. Lost in thoughts, he didn’t realize Jin was approaching him.

“Kame-chan… I…”
“Why are you leaving Jin? Why are you parting KAT-TUN? What are we suppose to do without you?”
“I’m leaving… Kame, I told you already, I’m leaving to study English in LA. I explained it to you once at the practice room, the next time in the press conference and you still don’t understand?”

Jin’s voice was noticeably stiff and cold, unlike the Jin that Kame used to know. But even so, Kame raised his voice to show no fear going against the whole new man in front of him.

“Stop lying Akanishi. Studying English? Everyone knows you are lame… but not this…”

Kame stopped talking immediately as T-TUN entered, followed by a few Johnny’s security guards. He looked down, whispering to Jin ‘Why are you leaving?’

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

Yes, Jin left. Even though Kame before that had spent most of his time staring at Jin’s flight ticket, suppressing the strong immense desire to tear it into pieces, he couldn’t even remember Jin’s flight no. or his seat number. Jin left. After that, T-TUN couldn’t spot Kame anywhere, because he had slunk out at the middle of Jin’s leaving speech for the fans. He didn’t want to hear words that weren’t from Jin, words that were prepared for him by KAT-TUN’s secretary to stay in the fans’ hearts.

And partially because Kame felt that if he stayed just another minute, his feeling would go wild. And Kitagawa-san always said to protect your image with what you can.

Suddenly Kame started chuckling. Why was he thinking about other people and what they said when there should only be Jin and himself on his mind? Maybe, just maybe, he was…

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

Kame’s ray of memories are broken as someone makes their way in the room, faintly panting. Kame looks up, expecting Takizawa-san, but to only be greeted by Tsubasa’s chubby face.

“Kame? I didn’t know you were here…”

“Tsubasa-san… I was…”

“Jin has left, hasn’t he?”

Kame looks at his fingers, suddenly having a great interest in examining them.

“He has…”

“I see.”

And choosing such a right moment, Tackey enters the room.

“Oh… Tsubasa. You’re here.”

Tsubasa smiles. Then looks at Kame again.

“Are you okay?”

Kame sweeps his eyes and stands up, smiling back to Tsubasa.

“I am. I should be going home now. Thank you for your hospitality Takizawa-san.”

“No prob. If you ever, ever need me Kazuya, just call me or go to Tackey & Tsubasa section… we’ll be there, alright?”

“Uhm…”

Kame mutters uncertainly as he pulls himself out of Tackey’s apartment, his mind whirring on where to go again.

*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*

Kame puts his hands in his pocket to protect them from getting colder and colder. He freezes as he realized he had Jin’s apartment key in his pocket.

“Ah…”

Kame stared nostalgically at the key. Jin has given this to him before the sneaked out of the airport… Kame closes his eyes, holding the key tightly.

‘I know where to go now…’
