Mountain Time Zone

The vacation is almost over. We left the coast Sunday and headed to Portland. For those I've never mentioned this to, normally our trips involve going to our relatives in portland for 4 days, being bored like crazy, and then going to the coast, where we will receive news that someone in Fargo is dying, and we'll have to cut the vacation short and drive like crazy to get back. This time we got smart. We headed STRAIGHT to the coast for 4 days, then spent only one day with the relatives. It was much better. We got all the time we could want at the beach (short of moving there) and we left my aunt's place wanting more, instead of hating everyone.

We've traveled thru Oregon, Washington, Idaho and over half of Montanta. Of that, I have driven ALL of it except Oregon. I'm tired, but the mountains stressed me out so I'm not sure I can sleep yet. Bad because of the time change and because we are getting up early tomorrow morning. Every time we come out here (this is time #4) my mom says she wants to go to the Little Bighorn to see the Custer Battlefield. We always say we'll get it on the way back, but due to the aforementioned deaths every farking time, we never make it. We announced that come hell or high water we were making it this time! 7:30 we hit the road to do just that before it gets hot as hell out there.

Then it's the last day of driving all together as we cross North Dakota to get to Moorhead. Then two days of helping my Dad around the house, and I'm back to the Cities Saturday. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to driving alone, not to mention sleeping in my own frickin' bed for a change. My little brother punches and kicks in his sleep. It hurts!

Still, this has been a great trip. I'm glad I came.
